When you look at Calzaghe's career, Jones not wanting anything to do with him, Collins relinquishing his belt rather than face him, Hopkins pulling out of a fight years ago, Johnson refusing to fight him, and of course Toney.... it is safe to say he would have beaten all of these people, had these fights taken place, you're looking at a top 10 atg.

Before anyone says anything how he should have made these fights, he was begging for them constantly, but people choose easy fights to make names for themselves, a good example is Toney, and calzaghe sums up Toney perfectly.

He should lose the flab and fight me because he is still a name in the sport and it would look great on my record next to a W and KO. Instead of doing weights with Twinkie bars and drinking Kool Aid he should get onto the salad, pasta and water and whip himself into shape because he'd need to be against me."

Toney wouldn't even dare respond to this, the biggest mouth in boxing, not even a mumble back, and why? because Joe was 100% right, and a young Toney ate his way out of a fight with him.
