The big man is started to talk about Haye and seems set on fighting him next year. David Haye decided to make himself famous by promoting himself, said the 32-year-old.

He's loud but only actions in the ring can show whether it's empty words.

David Haye is much shorter so he needs to talk a lot to get attention. He makes a lot of noise. It's too early to judge how he will do as a heavyweight but if he continues to behave like that I will probably consider meeting him in the ring to stop it.

There is nothing wrong with him stepping into the heavyweight division, he's welcome. I told him to get in line. Now he's had his first fight he's stepped closer to me.

I consider Haye to be like Herbie Hide. They both try to end fights with one punch. They're comparable. David's fast and so is Herbie.

But there aren't many examples of fighters moving up to heavyweight and doing well - Evander Holyfield is an amazing exception.

Hide held the WBO title when he faced Klitschko's brother Vitali in 1999, being demolished inside two rounds, and is currently making a name for himself back in the cruiserweight division.

Why does a former undisputed champ have to get in line today's shitty HW division?

I think that Vitali is going to silence Haye once and for all and if he doesn't take the fight with Vitali, then he's a "chicken"

Because neither Haye nor Wlad are stupid, come on now you're better then this. They both know if they stretch this out for a year they can drum up more publicity for the fight when it actually happens.. And Wlad knows full well if he drops Haye in a round or two he'll earn no credit for the victory if Haye doesn't prove himself first - credit being the only thing he is still looking to earn despite all these years as Champion. While Haye has nothing to lose and everything to gain by winning a fight with Wlad in any fation.

I'm willing to give Wlad a break for protecting his ass/legacy and doing a service to the HW division.

not a huge fan of haye. I wouldn't mind him whooping one o the klitchkos so then we can see a unification bout with the other one. you know haye isn't gonna settle for whooping just one of em.

so if Haye fights and loses to 1 of the bros, does he go for the other within a year? or will he fall too far back in the rankings for that to be possible?

    Haye was undisputed.

it wont take long for Haye to get a shot, him having a couple of heavyweight fights is smart and it helps hype the potential Wladimir fight even more. The division needs exciting fights and David Haye is exciting.

to be undisputed you have to hold all 4 major titles...he was a unified champ.
haye held 3 out of 4... how is that undisputed??

Firstly this has been done to death, but just for you, here goes.

You become undisputed if you unify all three major belts, traditionally. Or by beating an undisputed Champion, simple.

O Neil Bell and Mormeck unified all three major belts, Bell won, became undisputed Champion. Mormeck rematched him, beat him. Becomes undisputed Champion. Somewhere along the way, Bell was stripped of the IBF belt, but who gives a ****, doesn't mean he is no longer undisputed.

Then Haye beats Mormeck. Sadly, he only has two belts, but nevertheless is still undisputed Champion. He beat the previous Undisputed Champion.

Its like Lennox Lewis' reign from Holyfield 2 onwards. He got all three belts, which got worn down to 2. Nobody ever doubted his status, he was undisputed. Rahman beat him, took the title, and Lennox turn he won it back.

By your criteria, the chances of ever seeing an undisputed champion again are almost zero.

considering it's not an original line, no time at all. but as long as they're talking about it and trash talking about it the fight will garner interest. or don't you want to see it?
