well the taylor camp was suppose to fight froch for the vacant belt but decided to fight lacy. so pascal who was closely ranked was put infront of forch instead for the vacant title fight.

but to me i think it was so taylor could fight a legit 168 pounder and former titlist (but who was also way past it) on a big hbo undercard. and so that who ever the winner is for the vacant title he knows what he is up against. and it seems to paid off well. a guy who seems to have no defence and pretty slow handspeed and snap for a guy with his type of low handed style.

also television company's prefer to have a champion vs contender. a vacant belt is a bit of an anti climax. that was a key reason why cedric kushner was having major difficulty's trying to secure a major money deal becuase most of his fighters were fighting for vacant titles and so no tv comps would joining in on it.

    anyways blah blah blah

good fight this. jermain does look to be the better but he is also very wide and has a very crude technique for a guy who is regarded as a boxer or technician. a pure athelte is the best way to describe him. in the end i would buy it.

Good luck Froch because you are entertaining. But i feel you will be out of your depth here. clear points win by JT or late KO.

It's not up to JT. He has nothing and Froch has the belt. Who should be chasing who?

HBO + US recognition > paper title

C'mon guys, it is not rocket science. If Taylor wants the fight in the US, he will get it in the US or Froch will have to resort to a mandatory defense against some Euro bum while Taylor gets a big fight elsewhere, possibly for a different belt.

Froch's even said he wants to fight in the states. It's his naive homer fans that are arguing otherwise.

it depends on what di bella offers froch.

its in froch`s best intrests to let the fight go to purse bids as he would get the lion`s share no matter what country wins the bid.

Spinks doesn't block punches with his face.

But I think a Taylor stoppage is a longshot. Not impossible, just not likely given the evidence at hand.

But Froch gets hit A LOT.

IMO if froch v taylor was in the states on HBO ppv it would do less than 200k buys if recent fights on HBO ppv are anything to go by.

i beleive pavlik v hopkins did 190k so its possible froch v taylor would do 100k.

or would it be free to air ?

Froch has never been down as an amateur or pro, Taylor defiantly isnt going to be the first to change that!

I'm pretty confident Taylor/Froch would be on regular HBO, not PPV.

  15. Carl does not need to prove anything he is the champion its up to the american boxers to come take that belt from Carl not Carl come give it to them. Being american does not mean recognition nor does beating one because we've all see the excuses that then get thrown around when the lose; it's an endless line of "Well he must fight this guy next then" statements.
