The big difference is Margarito at least FOUGHT Williams already. Then beat the #1 rated WW in Cotto. And is fighting another top 5 WW in Shane. Margarito is fighting the top guys in the division. Floyd took the easiest route to the title and retired when it got hot in the kitchen. If ANYONE deserves a somewhat easy fight, it's margarito. And I doubt anyone would call Shane easy.

I can't be arsed to get in this thread. It's the same old thing, neutrals and Margarito haters vs Floyd Huggers. Nothing gets established because nobody has an open mind.

 

Selfkill, I've seen plenty of people on this board that have already stated that Floyd is a coward who is afraid to lose and will never fight Pac. So wheter he fights Pac or not, there will be criticism. Now a fight with Margo would be great, but if I'm not mistaken, Margo already has two fights lined up. Margo also has that Paul Williams issue to deal with. Maybe he should worry about his two upcoming fights as well as settling the score with Williams before thinking about Floyd.

 

Why cant he fight Margarito and then Pacman? Dont act like he wouldnt get full credit if he won those two.

 

I don't see any money talk, a fight with Pacquiao isn't just money, it also makes sense. Have you seen Pacquiao's fight last weekend?, did it hurt your large belly like the way he wiped the floor with MarquezX2/MoralesX2/BarreraX2?, if not then watch it again and you'll probably understand why it makes sense.

Also, the one who is all money right now is clearly and obviously Margarito and you assholes back it up with "MARGA DESERVE IT HE FOUGHT COTTO!". Yeah a Cotto who is way smaller and people had him a heavy favorite, shows how much the public thought of Margarito.

 

Yes you would you would hear people say. Why didn't he fight Williams instead he's the guy who beat Margo. Or he's still ducking Cotto. Or he should have fought Manny instead he's #1 P4P. He can't fight them all he's in a no win situation and it's one of the reasons why he retired.

 

Floyd has moved up and out of his natural and ideal weight also, he's a little bigger then Manny but he also beat Oscar at a higher weight. Anyone know what Floyd weighed the night he fought Oscar? Because Pac weighed 149 of pure muscle. All I'm saying is that just because Floyd spent more time at 140 and 147 it doesn't make his accomplishment any less impressive then Pacs. I've said this so many times. Floyd should/could be fighting at LW and JWW, moving up and beating any beltholders is impressive and should be appreciated. Only he gets criticized for not beating all of them.

 

Last I checked Baldomir was also #1 rated Welterweight or that doesn't count because it wasn't Margarito who fought him?

it was a 3 man race to fight floyd between cotto - paq - oscar

margarito was never in the equation because he was never going to fight margarito anyways.... cotto is the fight he wanted because cotto hsa super star written all over him he just had to win the fights to get to teh superstar level... cotto lost against margarito and that pissed away his chances because oscar WOULD HAVE FOUGHT cotto and then the winner of that would have went on to fight floyd...... Margarito has no superstar appeal... from the way he looks to the way he talks to his presence .. the only thing thats entertaining about him is his fighting style which as sad as it is to say is like 33% of what sells fights...

 

Margo's whole career has been easy.:deal He only just recently started to fight top opposition. PBF has fought better opposition and that can't be denied.
