:patsch you have to throw punches to win a fight, sooner or later Floyd is going to have to sit down and throw. Lets not debate it if the fight happens just let me know how you like your crow

Floyd could pot shot, move, make margo miss and so forth to a UD. Skill wise he is capable of it. A couple of things I find interesting though: Floyd likes to take rests, and sometimes goes back on the ropes etc - not sure either of these things would be a good thing to do against Marg as he'd be relentlessly pursuing Floyd, I don't think Floyd has the power to stop him from coming forward much like Cotto didn't...... however you'd have to think Floyd would fight him in a more intelligent manner. TBH I don't think this fight ever happens though, Floyd doesn't want it.

I'd love to see what someone mentioned earlier:

    Pacquaio vs Hatton
    Floyd vs Marg

If Floyd wins then winners fight each other, if Marg wins I'd hate to see him against Pacquiao or Hatton to be honest. Too much of a physical mismatch.

My points exactly, you cant just run all night or "Move all night" He does have a habit of laying on the ropes looking to slip and counter you cant do that with Margarito :nono

His work rate is extremly low, how is he going to limit the work rate of Margarito simply by moving? Tony will miss alot no doubt but towards the middle rounds his connect % will rise as it does in all of his fights.

Floyd has nothing to keep Margarito off of him, and I really dont see him winning the fight just with his jab, Floyd doesnt want this fight for a reason, there is money to be made now with Margarito as he is the welter weight that is seemingly the man to beat, But Floyd just doesnt want to test what skills he has against the heart that Tony has.

    Pacquiao vs Hatton (Mid '09)
Pacquiao vs Mayweather Jr. (Late '09)

Roach has already said no about a Margarito fight..

Margo will walk thru Floyd's punches. He has a tested chin. I think Paul Williams will school them both.

Didn't his fight with Cotto do very good numbers (550 I think). Plus it was a great fight he won decisively and he'd bring a lot of Mexican fans. Beating Mosely up on HBO wouldn't hurt his cause I reckon.

Pac said he'll retire after 3 fights. Marquez may be his last fight for his legacy although he doesn't have to. Assuming, of course, that Marquez is still on top of the light weight division. Otherwise, it could be Nate.

i mean Margarito is a big name in the boxing world... but he needs like 2-3 more big fights before he is even getting near the main stream.....

shane & a cotto rematch are steps in the right direction

You're right he very well could walk through them. This doesn't automatically mean he wins though.
