I think 64kg up to 75kg are the most common weights for fighter, because thats about the weight of the average height man. But saying you can tell who are boxers by there wights is a bad call i think. I fight at 69kg and im the lightest fighter at my club. The rest of the fighters are light heavy or bigger and there all lean. There not much taller then my but more solidly built and none of them are fat.
Maybe your thinking of kid amatuers, most of the kids i have seen are all very lean and small but not all of them.
If you had read mike tysons height and weight would you have picked him to be a boxer by your experience 5'10 and 230lbs.
Not every fighter is tall and lean, thats why fighters fight to there physical attributes, thats what makes it such a great sport.

lol I didn't say I could tell who boxers based on their weight. I can tell who generally doesn't when they don't understand that boxers as a rule run lighter then average.

64kg to 75 kg is not even close to the average weight for a male, atleast not in the US. That is 140-165 lbs. The average man weighs 190 lbs. And this was the point.

im saying 64kg to 75kg for the average adult amatuer fighters in australia. Even in the international pro ranks there is heaps for fighters from 64kg to 75kg then any other divisions. Im not talking about the average person who doesnt train, they would weigh 85kg maybe more. But getting back to your point or your experience, just because someone says they weigh 85kg doesnt mean there not a fighter, alot of things come into weight, like bone density.
