Why does Evander keep fighting?

I don't think he sees what everyone else sees , that he is not near the fighter he was. The boxing commissions do not seem to care either. I do not think it is love for boxing, I just think his ego is getting in the way of his logic.

 

He needs the money and it's not like he knows any other way to make it.

its pretty well known that he has bad money problems , mostly due to fathering enough kids to form an army and poor choice in women .

his child support runs 500k a year. It costs 1 mil a year to run his Mansion in Atlanta (power, landscaping, maintenance etc.)

He was told to sell his home years ago but did not listen. He fired Jim Thomas who was the only person who gave him good advice.

Evander is now surrounded by "yes men" who will not be truthfull with him.

I'm sure he loves the sport and he loves to fight.

But I'm sure he is house broke like nobody's business. He should try to sell it to some rapper.

He's making less than a million dollars for this fight. Peanuts for a guy like this.

 

It was said in the local Atlanta newspaper that after taxes this fight will not even cover his child support for one year. That is sad. :-(

I hope Evander makes it out of the fight OK and then retires.

 

come on guys, its because he wants to be undisputed champion of the world again. he's told us enough times.

but i bet if they said "you have to win to get paid" he'd retire quicker then Mayweather
