A bit of both. Oscar being completely shot diminished Manny's win in my eyes somewhat. Manny's great -blistering offense, great movement, speed . But Oscar offered nothing at all. I've seen the demise of many boxers careers in the ring, but none have been like that.

Both. Oscar should either retire, or fight at his natural weight. This 140's business is history for Oscar. He should stick to the 150-160's because dropping into the 140's for him at this point in his life is just dangerous. Manny is simply awesome. Nuff said.

being weight-drained and shot are two different things. i'm sure that when dlh goes back to his current natural weight of 154, he will perform much better in his next fight.

I don't know. Maybe. But it seems like anytime you are a 35+ year old fighter who loses weight to go to a lower division, it permanently does something bad to your body and you are never the same. It seems to sapp your reflexes, stamina, and snap. And i don't know if you can get what you lost back.

the problem is, with the beating that he took, we will never know. pacman might have made him genuinely shot.

ok. then let's just see what happens if hoya decides to take a fight again at 154 this time. right now, we are just making guesses as to his current physical state. remember, this is the very first time ever oscar was this listless in a fight so the struggle to make 147 could've caused his non-performance in this particular fight.

What we have here is the same thing as what happened to RJJ, him and DLH both dropped a lot of weight and were never the same after that. I bet even if DLH goes back to 154 he won't be the same he might perform slightly better which won't be hard but he won't be anywhere near as good as when he took on PBF.

But im not taking anything away from Pacman and Roach. Roach saw the writing on the wall in the Forbes fight. Pacman administered the ass whooping game plan. Props to them both it was a hell of a gamble and I think they are probably both suprised at just how well the fight went.

Yes, I agree with you about what people say about most of Pac's opponents. I'm not one of them though. I feel he fought MAB when he was on top fresh off his greatest win against Hamed, fought prime Marquez and won fairly against him (I don't see how people think Marquez wins), and did win a very good win against Diaz who opened the doors for him to do other things...
However we all knew Oscar was passed prime before fight even started. That's not even worth arguing about. The man was stripped of his last belt two years ago! But we thought he was gonna win out of sheer size, that is, if he were still the same as he had been last time out. It seemed as if PAc might get hurt, that's why we were against it. What we saw instead was a man who struggled to just BE THERE, let alone fight, but a man who was done from the opening bell. Watch that fight again, look at Hoya's face and eyes. That is just a shell of a fighter anyone could have taken him that night.

True, if anything happens now people will always refer to the PAc fight as the end stage of his career.

You guys are unbelievable. Oscar was shot at the Floyd fight as well..I mean he abandoned his jab when it was aclose fight and Floyd did nothing to really hurt him early on. He just laid there and said.."you know Floyd, I dont feel like it a jabbing kind of night" "I'll give up now"

As for Forbes..Forbes is B level at best and Oscar treated him like one and if they fight again next month, he'll beat forbes again.. ..

Pac is good but the DLH was about half as good as what we were expecting. It wasn't even competitive so Pacman isn't that good. The weight did DLH in no question.

Even Roach said "We got prepared for a fight.. DLH prepared to make weight".
