The fans who booed Cunningham when he was interviewed were classless...

    It was certainly not on a far greater scale than this fight. Especially given Golota's reputation as being a rather unstable individual; the fans had no idea that his life was threatened if he had remained in the fight.

    On the one hand, here was a fighter who was notorious for being a "bad boy" of boxing who had just quit after a couple rounds in a fight that fans most likely paid a lot of cash for considering it's a Tyson fight.

    On the other hand, here was a fighter who just fought 12 hard rounds and ended up losing to your favorite fighter anyways. And the fight could be mentioned as a possible fight of the year candidate.

    Two completely different set of circumstances, like I said before.

    The only time I would accept booing is if the fighter did something stupid, said something stupid, etc.. In general at the end of a fight, especially a great fight, just cheer.

    We sat right in the middle of the Polish nation in Chicago when Adamek fought Briggs for the 2nd time. Great fans, but certainly zealous. Not to mention 12 rounds of Polska, Polska, Polska.

    That is a fighters job. The fans are their source of income. No fans = small paycheck.

    I wouldnt expect excellent behaviour from the crowd if I was a sports-star, or even another fan, is all I am saying.
