Well, I'm not the only person who thought Cunningham won. Getting KD 3 times does tend to make people think he got dominated, which isn't true. Aside from the 3 times, he pretty much dominated Adamek and controlled him. 1st KD was a hook behind the top of the head. Go watch it. Was a bogus KD.
I'm going to score it tonight. I'm not even going to try and front like some people and pretend I could get an accurate score on a live viewing. I'm a boxing fan. Seriously getting down to the business of scoring a fight and enjoying a live show are two competely different things.
Not whatsoever, agreed. Margarito is a punching machine. Adamek hasn't been very active at all his last two fights. There were multiple rounds last night in which Adamek threw very few punches altogether. In my view that's the only thing that even made this fight even somewhat close.
What the hell are you laughing at? USS could have won more rounds the knockdowns were the difference. When he boxed he did so with ease but he fought a dumb fight Adamek's fight and it cost him in the end. If not for the knockdowns it would have been USS by wide UD.:deal BTW you're actually barking up the wrong tree I'm an Adamek fan and said when this fight was announced this was a pick em and just yesterday I picked USS by SD.
I don't see anybody mentioning domination besides you, because there wasn't any domination happening on either end of it. The 3 knockdowns were the difference in a close fight- the second in particular was a multipoint swing in Adamek's favor, and that was essentially the difference. It's a fight that was rematch worthy, while still a close but clear victory for Adamek.
I had $50 riding on my man USS, but he let me down. Adamek 7-5...plus 3 extra pts for KDs. You do the math. Fight was well worth the money though. And a big thank you to the bookies, if USS hadnt been a 2.5 to 1 to win, I wouldve bet and lost a lot more.
