Oscar at 154lbs is very different than Oscar at 147lbs at this point. That was very evident in the fight as Oscar could barely lift his arms.

Styles make fights, Floyd supposedly struggled against Castillo and Hatton knocked Castillo out in four, and Floyd Knocked Hatton out. AND THE POINT IS WHAT?????

 

Exactly. Just stupid logic to go by if someone brings this up.

 

Floyd did not struggle against Oscar, i don't understand why people were saying his jabbed work, he hardly jabbed and Mayweather was laughing at it. Floyd won like nine rounds and landed much more than Pacquiao did. Oscar was weight drained and sluggish, his footwork was like a bum and since when has Oscar chewed something on the way to the ring.

 

The Oscar that PBF fought didn't have to starve himself on rice cakes to make weight....

Roach should say Floyd struggled against us, if he wants to say we knocked out Oscar.

 

Um Freddie shut the **** up. PBF schooled Oscar. And the Oscar that PBF fought was at 154. Geez. Just because Pac made Oscar quit everyone is making a big deal out of his win without looking at the intangibles.

 

I'm not sure where this myth came from that Floyd struggled with Oscar. It seemed like Floyd took rounds off almost intentionally just to keep the cards close, and pretty much everyone thought the judge who gave the fight to Oscar was on crack. Oscar landed maybe a dozen clean punches all night, and 4 of them were in the same combo. I had it 8 rounds to 4, but only because there were a number of rounds where it seemed like Floyd didn't care enough to even throw punches.

Anyway, I can see that they're trying to goad Mayweather into a fight, but he should really be calling out Hatton. It's almost as much of a money fight, and just as winnable for Pac. Plus, if he fights Hatton first, Floyd will still be there; if he fights Mayweather first, he stands a good chance of losing, and if he doesn't lose, then a Hatton fight would have a little less meaning anyway.

 

@ 147, Floyd would have stopped Oscar, too. Just an honest opinion.

 

Exactly. Oscar was far more confident of a win over Manny so he agreed to fight at 147. Against Floyd, Oscar had a ton of demands (weight, etc). Oh, and he still lost.

 

I agreed with everythiing you said but the last statement that, "if Pac beats Mayweather him fighting Hatton would have less meaning". I think it would have more meaning in the sense that he is fighting the guy that beat him and in a sense maybe to him and his fan mean that hes avenging his loss. Plus if Pac does beat Floyd he's still considered p4p champ and if there not meaning in that for fight fans I don't know where there is.
