Can JuanMa surpass Tito in terms of accomplishment and popularity? I give him a decent shot to surpass Tito in terms of accomplishment, but it will be very hard for him to surpass Tito's popularity. Tito is like a God in PR. Thoughts?

I'm with ya, juan ma might be able to surpass him accomplishment wise, but popularity its gonna be difficult. I mean j-lo, big pun and fat joe showed how much tito is loved, but juan ma might just be a little under the radar, sort of like calderon.

He would have to beat Vazquez, Marquez, Caballero, win titles at featherweight and super featherweight while going undeafeted. Tough but possible

Juanma seems to be more crowd friendly than cotto. If juanma keeps winning, he has a good chance of surpassing cotto but not tito.

It's still way to early to tell and the fact is Juanma is currently fighting at a weight that doesn't produce many crossover stars which is what Tito was. If he stays undefeated for a long time and gets some significant wins over some highly touted opponents that are recognized by casual fans then his chances of surpassing Tito drastically improve.

I don't agree, but if thats the case, he is only hurting himself because he is not going to be able to fix them all. Plus, he is loosing valuable experience at such an early career stage.
