Remember it takes 2 people in the ring to make FOTY happen. I'm not saying this just cause I'm a fan of USS but he was the more exciting fighter in the ring that night. Adamek just pressed looking for the one punch. He had no head movement and like his chin his feet seemed like he had concrete on them. If it wasn't for that 4th rd where Steve gassed out looking for the KO we be talking about unifying the belts for Steve.
:nono Adamek's 1 punch power was the most exciting thing in the ring(something i truly didnt expect).
You think a guy that just looks for the one punch is an exciting fight?:huh I like boxer.. guys that have movement and throw combo's. Guys that stick and move and work the jab. Hey what he did worked for him and I won't take that away from him. But he was the boring fighter that night. I was there ringside. Steve has what it takes to make a fight more exciting and he showed it thursday night. Now i'm talking about this fight not his other fights with Diablo....before you go there.
Adamek 3 FOTY candidates. Steve 1 Common demoninator and simple math says you are wrong. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Nice gif's but the 3rd kd he lost his feet. It was wet in that corner. The other 2 where clearly KD's. I have an inside source..wink wink..
What kind of money can Adamek make from a fight like Wlodarczyk in Poland, compared to someone like Flores in the US? Would Polish TV have anykind of financial push? I have no idea of the scope of the Polish market.
+1 Adamek clearly won the fight, and the people who are most clamoring for the rematch are Cunningham's immediate circle, his fans and a few boxing writers who appear to have gotten the pick wrong. Tomasz is under no obligation to make an immediate rematch and I doubt that he will. If I were his team, I would not do so. He decisively beat Cunningham and should be looking for other matches at this juncture. If Cunningham wanted to keep his belt, he and his corner should have devised and executed a smarter fight plan. They did not, and now Adamek holds all the cards. Best thing for Steve to do now after dropping the strap, and in the likely event that the 'Rematch!' ploy will fall flat, is to start working his way back up the totem pole as Axe points out. I'm sure if Cunningham is impressive in a few comeback bouts, Tomasz -- who doesn't seem to duck anyone -- would seriously consider taking a rematch at some point in the future.
Or people who thought the fight was a great all out battle between two great warriors and want to see it again.
Adamek would KO him,Cunningham mostly can't hurt him and Adamek can hurt USS.If Adamek can go for another fight it would be ok,Cunningham acted like a ***** at the post presser, talking like he won and oredering a rematch. If it were a close fight with Cunningham winning nobody would be asking for a rematch......
If the fight was as entertaining as this one then yeah, they would be. We just want good fights. Not everyone has some sort of biased agenda on this. Two great fighters have a great fight...let's do it again!
