Who the **** said anything about that?

I don't think I've ever said anything about Adamek being anything like that. I just want a rematch between two great fighters, it's not a ****ing difficult concept. I also picked Adamek BTW...so I don't see where yer getting any of this bull**** from.

Right, and this is the problem. The guy (and those surrounding him) who was close to being KO'd, down three times and who made Adamek wait for the fight is acting like he won the bout and is in control of negotiations for a rematch. It doesn't work that way, and I think that this supposed-grassroots 'push' for an immediate rematch is going to end up hurting Cunningham's chances of actually getting that match.

Cunningham lost, clearly. He was drawn out of his comfort zone and chose to brawl with a guy who punches harder and who has a better chin. As I said, no one made him do this. If Adamek had been in better condition, Cunningham gets KO'd later in the fight, IMO, but instead Adamek faded. Still, he easily won the bout and now possesses all of the negotiating leverage and can chose to move on to other mathces, which I think he is probable to do.

I understand why Team Cunningham is doing what they're doing, but I think it's likely to blow up in their faces. Ask Bernard Hopkins how well his whining and demanding rematches after the Calzaghe defeat has worked in terms of getting Joe back in the ring.

Well if I was Adamek and I'd have other options I'd say ''**** CUNNINGHAM'',let him win a fight before challenging me and fight somebody else.A rematch, especially an imediate one ain't nothing to pray for.

If Adamek goes and faces off with Enzo Mac, I'd be psyched. Adamek is the #1 guy in the division right now..the only guys close to him are Enzo Mac, USS and BJ Flores.

Flores brings no money (and would be a spoiler of a fight) so it's either Enzo or USS.

Thank you, exactly what I was saying,I was discuted when I heard those bums in the back yelling ''rematch'',''rematch'' in the back when Adamek was speaking.Adamek would beat him 9 out of 10,I don't know how he wasn't a big favorite in this one.I was litterrally amazed at Cunningham at the presser talking like he actually won and like he was in charge of a rematch and could get it whenever.Motha****a is lucky he landed a fight on tv.If Adamek goes for Flores or Fragomeni or Maccarinelli or anybody it's ok,he did his job

He did mention Flores and it would be a good fight. If he takes it he takes it.He is the champ in the division and fight whoever.

Flores is so slick and defensive (and perhaps a bit of a runner) that he would pretty much be the only guy to make Adamek look boring. He's a spoiler...one guy you don't want to fight because even if you win you look ugly doing it.

What about that Euro CW prospect whose lighting up Germany right now? Boystov is it?

Most of the ''experts'' said this one would be boring too and look what happened....Adamek is an all action fighter,he always brings it.
And I guess you mean Alexeev(Boytsov is the HW),yes he is the goods,I hope Adamek is done by the time Alexeev is ready as he is good, very good.

What experts said this would be boring? Cunningham may be defensive minded but he can be drawn into explosive battles. His mental acumen isn't strong enough for him to stick with a gameplan.

I've seen Flores literally run for a round against Darnell Wilson. He's a John Ruiz-esque spoiler.

Alexeev...Golvokin...Bostov. Too many v's and l's for my feeble little brain. Boystov is a great little prospect too.

Yep, it was just public relations spin BS, typical stuff. Totally disrespectful, and very likely to ensure that Steve gets screwed in his quest for an immediate rematch.

The only thing anyone needs to understand is that the people who will always be most clamoring for a rematch are the losers. They blew it and they want the winner to give them another chance. They want to be bailed out of their failure to get the job done the first time around.

It's like when you beat your brother at a video game and he won't let you leave until you play him again. Cunningham got drilled, and he's very lucky the one judge gave him the nod on his scorecard. He and his team should be counting their blessings and shutting their mouths, especially if the team made Adamek wait for this match as you said.

Calzaghe has become only more determined that he will never give Hopkins a rematch after the antics Bernard pulled when he lost. If Team Cunningham continues with their silly posturing, they are likely to end up in a similar spot. They have ZERO leverage and are eroding any good will Adamek may have felt towards them.

We'll see how this plays out, but let's just say I think the next bout for Steve Cunningham will be the first on his comeback trail and won't have anything to do with Tomasz Adamek. Time will tell.

How bout rematch just for the sake of it being a great first fight? Gatti and Ward was for nothing other than pride. Adamek rematched Briggs.

Adamek/Cunningham made for a great fight, screw boxing politics or nationalism and clamor for this fight just because the first one was so good.

the money to be made at cruiser is in europe

tvn used to show boxing but they scrambled on me, there are polish sport sat channel though, adamek should be a big enough name to make money for them.

germany has always had a big cruiserweight market .

in america, has to be in a big polish location to get the fans out again for a rematch v cunningham, as cunningham does not have a fanbase willing to pay to follow him in america.

all his fans seem to be the armchair type.

the money would have to come from tv.

if adamek would be offered a voluntary v huck for exaple he would be looking at a 500k purse i would have thought and adamek is well known in germany having knocked out ullrich in germany
