Adamek won the fight by 3 flash kd's. Steve was never hurt. Did you watch the same fight as I did. Steve got caught wasn't hurt and jumped right up and went back to work. Adamek won but by a very slim decision in my book...As a fan you want to see a rematch because it was 2 guys going to war and next one would make $$.

There should be an immediate rematch. Champions who lose SD deserve a rematch. The fans who say Adamek shouldn't fight an immediate rematch are probably fans of the guy who won. Steve gave Adamek hell, and vice versa. This needs to be made immediately so that we can bring boxing back to the level where it belongs. The history of boxing is built on great rematches, not moving on once you win a title. Had he dominated Steve, I would agree that a rematch should be made, but not now.

If that fight went any longer it would of been bad for Adamek. He looked like he couldn't go any longer. He was a hell of a lot slower in the 11th and 12th rd. You say he would of KO'd him? Because somebody gets knocked down you're telling me he's done? You ever been in a fight before? Or do you carry pensils in your pocket in the front of your shirt?C'mon man your killing me. 2 of those kd's it looked like Steve was throwing a punch and Adamek caught him at the right time and being off balanced he got knock down. It happens. He freakin bounced right up without any delay. Was he stunned? maybe. Was he hurt? I did not think so. If he was so hurt how do you recover, bounce right up and go back to work? I love when people talk crap and probably never expirenced being punched in the head before.....

This is a sorry post and here's why. This poster sounds like he just roots for the white guy. Boxing is built on great fights and great rematches. There is no, "Adamek clearly won the fight". Guys say, if Adamek did this earlier to Dawson, or if Adamek wasn't weight drained...please. The part in your post where it says, "If Cunningham wanted to keep his belt, he and his corner should have devised and executed a smarter fight plan". This comment is about as stupid as it gets. Just plain stupid. Someone has to win, and someone has to lose. This fight deserves an immediate rematch. They put on a show, and the fight was decided by a SD. Adamek didn't win a lot of clear rounds besides the knockdowns, and Steve gave him hell and vice versa. Why should Steve have to fight himself back into contention after a SD loss...and he was champion? :patsch

Both very good fights. Cunningham won the majority of the rounds and with one less knockdown had the decision. That's close.

Nobody saw any ***** move by Steve. Stop lying to us. Adamek won't be a champ for long anyway. He can't box, and he lives on his power. He better not rematch Steve. Steve was rusty with the layoff imo. I can see why Adamek would not give Steve a rematch. Boxing needs rematches after close fights when a champ loses.

Why not? After a fight like that where 2 guys left it all out in the ring and put on one heck of a fight for the fans and one guy dominated a lot of the rds...why would one not ask for a rematch? The rds that he got kd he was clearing winning 2 of them. And the 4th rd was winning 10-8 on the card. So you hate when they start shouting rematch,Blah BLAH BLAH. Sounds to me like your the Adamek fan that is scared. If it was USS that came out with the victory and a show like that was put on I would still be saying a rematch. BECAUSE AS A FAN YOU LIKE TO SEE THOSE TYPE OF MATCHES! Maybe it is because your looking for easy, boring fights I don't know:huh

He wasn't winning the round 10-8 to me.Anyway I don't like the impressio Cunnigham did like he is running the show.He lost a fight and should STFU.He was talking like he won.

So your telling me that because he thought he won the fight and a lot of writers thought it was going to be a draw or even had Cunningham ahead on the cards...he's not entitle after that type of fight to express his thoughts and emotions. I was talking to Franklin McNeil after the fight and he told me that he and some of the other press/writer guys had USS winning the fight. Except for the the flash kd's IMO he controlled the fight and won most of the rds....

The first fight was great and I hope they do it again. However, I think that Adamek will win again and win it bigger than before. Cunningham has a poor defense and most fighters don't improve at this point. He also ate a lot of punches.

It's over. Cunningham lost his leverage as he lost the fight. I could sit here, go through other of your posts and try to 'assert' you just root for the black guy or whatever, but it doesn't matter. The guy who started the thread sounds like he's close to Cunningham/was rooting for Steve and he's trying to argue his case, that's great. The bottom line is Steve lost the fight, and he's going to have to get in line like everyone else who has lost before him. It doesn't matter what race or ethnicity he is, this is how it goes, particularly if what Thunder said is true and Steve's camp made Adamek wait.

Steve lost, he's got no leverage and he is going to have to go and rebuild. Doesn't matter what you or I think. Adamek holds all the cards, and I don't see any reason why he's going to be looking to do the loser any favors, particularly with his camp apparently acting like jerks in the postfight and if he made Tomasz wait for this fight to materialize.

Sit back in your chair, take a deep breath and set your bias aside. It's over. If you're upset that the white guy beat the black guy, I could care less. That's your problem and your issue, not mine.
