Max Kellerman mentioned Chris Arreola to Wladimir Klitschko after the Rahman fight. In my opionnion Kellerman made a fool out of himself by doing that. I know that HBO is trying to sell Arreola as USA´s big fat hope, but come on... Klitschko is so good that you really should not mention a carbidge can like Arreola to him.

Kellerman was just doing his job in hyping Arreola like that, but thats low. Thats like selling your belives... Kellerman should be a shamed of himself.

This is what's known as whoring yourself out for your company. Arreola is HBO, and so Kellerman had to fall on his sword and pretend like anyone cares about that matchup or that Arreola could be the least bit competitive with Wlad, which he could not be.

Kellerman should get extra pay for having to humiliate himself in public that way.

If Vitali fights Haye and Povetkin is still injured and needs a tuneup before fighting Wlad, there are no real choices except Arreola.
Valuevs promoters King and Sauerland never let him fight Wlad unless he is milked properly.
So Wlad-Arreola in April or MAy in the US could be quite likely.

That's what the division offers and he mentioned him, nothing wrong there. Is there a Muhammad Ali out there that Kellerman should have mentioned instead?

Lampley and Lewis were talking about Arreola before the Kellerman interview. Also, Arreola was up on the graphic of possible future opponents for Wlad. Just trying to drum up intenrest. Max was simply following up

I guess you can blame Max for not having a sack and saying to himself "no I will not ask that, I will look stupid". Also, Max sounded stupid saying Arreola had underated boxing skills:roll:

Sad as it is Arreola is the only guy coming through for the Yanks.

Having said that Arreola wouldnt make it past the fourth.

It's a good point, but it's still sad just to hear it, to actually have to pretend Arreola is a credible threat.

When Kellerman brought up Dawson to Calzaghe after Jones, that was legit. Mentioning Arreola to Wlad, given that comparison, is not only a letdown but it strains credulity. That said, you're right, you have to mention someone and it is usually the house fighter of the network you're on.

Listen to me. Chagaev is nothing special, but he would stop Arreola, Valuev would kill Arreola, Povetkin would stop Arreola, Samuel Peter would destroy Arreola, Arreola would have no chances against Ibragimov or neither against Gomez or Dimitrenko... and so on and so on...

Arreola vs. any of those mentioned names would be a missmatch.

I am not saying that there is many interisting bouts for Klitschko... but when you think the best challangers for the Klitschko´s you DO NOT THINK ABOUT ARREOLA.

The only thing why Kellerman mentioned Arreola is becouse MAX IS A HOOKER OF HBO!

As said, HBO are really behind Arreola at the moment.

When one of the major networks decides to go for a guy, they will push them as much as possible. So it's no surprise Kellerman brought him up to Wladimir.

well... arreola is near the top 10 if not in it, and is an undefeated prospect so i dont think its as horrible as being claimed, but ya.... once arreola ever (if it happens) steps into the ring with wlad it will be a huge wake up call no doubt. I have a feeling he might lose before he gets to that point though.

Ill be rooting for him to win though until he does fight a klit or a haye.... hes fun to watch, i like his attitude and who he seems to be, im becoming a fan.

Doesnt change the fact that hes not world class though.

NO ... the HW division is full of nobodies and out of shape light heavies and cruiserweights ... why not weed out the phonies and see who's really real. Arreola is undefeated ... he's fought in an IBF eliminator ... he's American and America is searching for the next HW star.
