Let Hatton fight JMM at 140

    and Pac can fight PBF

Hatton gets to fight the winner...probably unless JMM causes an upset

Who else is Hatton going to fight if not Manny Pacquiao (win or lose against Mayweather)? There is no one else that brings as much to the table as Pac, even if he loses to Mayweather. If Mayweather wins, he most likey retires again because he definitely ain't going to stick around to fight Margarito.

Pac is in his prime right now. Its probably best to take on the tougher challenge before rather than after a fight with Hatton that if anything will be rough and taxing.

Interesting, I'd be surprised if Ricky was willing to fight Pacquiao under those circumstances. I'll be honest.

Have you not heard all the times Ricky and Ray Hatton talk about their direct link to Team Mayweather and the open relationship they have? As I said in a previous post I can practically guarantee Mayweather/Hatton II will be the only fight Ricky is interested in if/when Floyd beats Pacquiao. It's all Ricky talks about, to this day.

Hatton isn't going to fight JMM. Too much risk, not enough reward. He'll most likely wait to fight Pacquiao or PBF, which ever one becomes available, and take an easier stay busy fight in the meantime.

IMO, JMM needs to say see ya to 135 and try to set up a fight at 140 with Zab Judah, which I think is a good possibility and probably the only way to get himself into the conversation with Pacman, PBF, and Hatton.

Why don't you think Hatton would fight Pacquiao after a rematch with Mayweather? This is actually a blessing for Hatton, since if he loses to Pac the Mayweather rematch becomes less desirable.

The rematch with Floyd probably isn't what's best for Hatton, and not's not what the fans nescessarily want to see - despite what Ricky wants. Nobody who loves the sport wants to think of any of these potential fights in terms of being 'loser' matchups where these guys are fighting each other in a tournament of shame after people are getting beat by each other!?!.. You guys are depressing me with all this talk. What's good for everyone is having these matchups in the proper order, not as default matches these guys have to settle for. Pacquiao should take Hatton first, then Mayweather. Manny is more likely to beat Hatton than Mayweather, isn't he?

Pac vs Hatton would be a more winnable fight for Pacquiao.

Of course he'll get loads of money if he fights Mayweather too, but Floyd is the clear favourite if those two meet. Imo.

    Why would he "fear" Hatton?

And how do you know that?

Scenario A) paq fights floyd & loses
Out come) he was out matched by a better bigger fighter and can still fight hatton with respect of going down to fight a smaller guy

scenario B) paq fights hatton & loses
Outcome) He Couldnt handle the size and has no business at 140 and paq is too small and has no business in the ring with floyd

paq vs hatton in uk = most money
paq vs floyd in usa= biggest fight in boxing (less $ then hattons uk fight)

I think roach wants pac to fight floyd now coz he thinks pac is on top of his game while floyd has been out for awhile.

But i'd rather see pac-hatton first, that would be huge for pac in terms of legacy. He'll get another lineal belt if he wins.
