I would definetly like to see him fight Chad Dawson since Calzaghe won't give him another fight. He'll can make and even bigger statement if he beat Dwason. He doesn't really need it but it defiently wouldn't hurt him either if he were to win.

Hopkins vs. Calzaghe II is the fight I'd like to see. If not, I will take Hopkins vs. Dawson or the Hopkins vs. Adamek fight that is being discussed. Whether Hopkins can effectively fight at Cruiserweight, especially at his age to put on the extra weight, only time would tell. Hopkins vs. Taylor III is a fight that could turn out poorly for both of them and is one I think neither should pursue.

I agree, Calzaghe/Hopkins II is the only fight that makes sense for either guy really, but Calzaghe is too intent on ducking Hopkins at this stage.

Pretty much. Neither guy seems much interested in Dawson or anyone else in the curent division so let em have at it one more time.

Hopkins has never beaten a fighter who is not a middleweight or less. Well, yes he has beaten ONE: Old c-actor Tarver and we saw what Dawson did to him.

If Bernard want any recognotion for anything apart from MW, he needs one thing desparately: To beat a prime 168er or 175er! He never has.

That leaves two names open: Kessler and Dawson.

The only other option is Taylor III. However, Taylor is not (at least not yet) to be considered a proven 168er and this fight would be loss/loss for US boxing. If Hopkins wins and retires he will have left US boxing in shambles. IF Taylor wins, so what - he already did that twice. So from an American point of view this fight makes no sense.

Why are people after Calzaghe/Hopkins II? the first fight was dire to watch and Joe won in America with 3 American judges and an American ref. The chances of Hopkins getting the nod in Wales are next to zero, as is the chance of it being good to watch.

The Joe haters would not be satisfied if Joe beat Hopkins 10 times, they'd still be finding reasons to score all ten of em for Hopkins. And even if they think Joe has won Hopkins was old anyway.

Didn't Hopkins say he wanted the winner of DLH-Pac?

He should fight Pacman in Vegas at 170.

I think this may go ahead. Adamek is a slightly bigger version of Pavlik. Bernard would win this one quite easily imo.

If ernard has gonads, he should go for Kessler or Dawson who both are likely to go on to have great careers no matter how they fare against Bernard. This will add to Bernards legacy for every fight they win.

Adamek, while a good fighter, is not as good as these two. He ran away from LHW when a green Dawson spanked him. Adamek will provide us with many good fights because he is a fighter with a lot of heart. He will however get a spanking every time he enters the ring with a skilled fighter.

I will find it somewhat disappointing if Bernard fights Adamek.

I agree. A close Split Decision deserves a rematch. It's that simple.
