Klitschko did what was expected of him against Rahman. I don't really see his performance as being disappointing, or extremely impressive (given whom he was fighting), or surprising. Wlad is the #1 HW in the world and Rahman is well, an old Rahman.

I expected Wlad to dominate and kicked Hasim's ass, and he did. The only thing that surprised me is that Rahman actually took a lot of shots and stayed on his feet.

Wlad's jab is the equivalent of some fighters cross, it's so sharp. It is, in effect, a power punch. Why should he let these guys punch him? Larry Holmes was often content to jab and right cross. Admittedly he had some better opponents, but that's not Wlad's fault. And after that last fight by Arreola, does anyone really think Arreola wouldn't get KO'd by Wlad unless he lands a lucky punch? The only guy that could beat Wlad, outside of a lucky bomb, is Vitali, and that fight is never going to happen.

As for Haye, let him earn his shot. If his chin was suspect at cruiser, he would be hurt by Wlad's first jab.

 

You haven't made a point at all, you said Ali beat Bonavena on points, now you've obviously rushed to the Klit-ites favourite site (boxrec) and called it a questionable KO

Jackson was well on the slide when he fought WALDO, I guess his memory wasn't too good by that point - and don't forget he didn't fight prime Lewis either, he fought the Correa trained version, different animal to the later version (please argue that point, it's a trap)

As for McCline, he was a sparring partner for Gods sake - had he actually had a competitive fight with Lewis his answer might be different.

The fact of the matter is, Lewis hit prime Rahman with his best shot and laid him out - WALDO was hitting over the hill Rahman with everything but the kitchen sink and stopped him on his feet.

Yeah cos Rahman is really going to show respect to Lewis after the way Lewis treated him isn't he? Lewis behaved like a ***** after the Rahman rematch and I suspect bad feelings run very deep between the two of them even to this day.
