I like Calzaghe talking smack (though this last round was too petty and bitter; I prefer him just dissing individuals like Froch or Dawson, not the entire sport), and I like Bernard doing likewise. Good stuff.

Calzaghe is probably upset that he's getting little recognition for beating up a shot Roy Jones. If he wants recognition, he can rematch Hopkins, fight Dawson, there are options....

If Tito was PPV, it would have done great.
Oscar did great numbers.

Only fight Hopkins didnt draw for was the Pavlik one...which was clearly hurt by the fact that most people thought it was a give in that Pavlik was going to beat him...AND YET STILL!!! did just about equal numbers to Calzaghe - Jones.

Hopkins not being a draw is a myth...if people did some research on this stuff, rather than just reiterating some bs they read here...they would know this.

I agree with alot of what Calzaghe originally said...but I also believe that Joe is contributing to it all. He is now a decent enough draw to make big fights...to bring in good numbers and help the sport. Instead, he doesnt want to fight ANYONE that makes any bit of sense. Wont fight Dawson because he isnt a draw (remember, Hopkins took on Taylor before he was bankable...when their were much higher reward/lower risk fights out there), yet complains there is a lack of stars. Wont take on Hopkins because either he already beat him (what Calzaghe says) or because its too big a risk/tough a fight (what most people think).

So as much as I agree with Joe about the lack of young stars...he does need to shut the **** up and do something about it. Considering he actually CAN!
