I think Haye needs to build up a reputation a little first - if he fights Wlad next and gets iced within a couple of rounds (which could happen) he will forever have that stigma of being the loudmouthed deluded idiot who felt he could move up from cruiser and conquer all - and failed miserably. That said, the fight doesn't need to be built up too much because all the American heavies are BUMS (sorry buts thats the way it is) and they can identify much more with a guy like Haye than they can with Ibragimov, for instance. Haye vs Wlad at the o2 in London - with a few decent undercard international fights...... would be a *******.
Just like Rahmans 'glass jaw' was going to get shattered you mean? Either Rahman has a better chin than you were saying, or WALDO has way over-rated power. Which is it :think
Good post, but: Haye has no chance against Vitali at all...Vitali never lost a fight by decision and even against Lennox he was in front on the cards. No way in hell that Haye is going to win by decision or KO against Vit.
Rahman was not even trying to win only survive small injuries - defence mode- he didint take much clear hard shots
I think all they hype since he moved up to HW is great! If and when it happn the fans will tune in. It's becoming a fight people all over want to see. I know I do.
Not a chance. First i thought there might be a good fight, but when i do little research and look their fights, im sure wlad will KO Haye and fast.:deal
Just for the record - Haye/Thompson obviously has people confused. For 90% of the fight, Haye landed everything but the kitchen sink at Thompson - At some points early - had the fight been stopped, considering Haye's reputation, it wouldn't have had too many raised eyebrows... Haye then towards the end began to gas at having wacked Carl with just about every shot he had, and tired visibly, throwing no more than 1-2 punches a time.. Carl then took advantage - knocked Haye down, and Haye's corner 30 seconds later threw in the towel - Haye stopped on his feet, by HIS OWN CORNER, because Haye was tired and it was pointless for him to risk a beating for no reason. He wasn't KO'd like people say, Thompson didnt smack him around the ring and beat the crap out of him. Haye, due to lack of experience, training, and focus - tried to blow out Thompson like everyone else, gassed, and was stopped on his feet.
:good Well said People need to realise the only reason he has a TKO on his record is because he was simply exhausted from throwing everything at Thompson in the first few rounds due to his lack of experience, he wasnt sparked, he was on his feet simply to tired to throw back which is why his own corner stopped it. He was badly hurt by Lolenga Mock and if you look at that punch its bang on the temple while Haye was throwing a punch and even then Haye got up and knocked him out. He is a much much better fighter now anyway and i cant wait for him to smash Wlad if he accepts the fight and isnt being protected by his big brother.
Well, that's not out of the world. It might happen, but Haye quitting on his stool after the 2nd round could happen also
