Fight of the year?!

It was a close, contested, messy and fairly low-quality fight between two fighters none of which has made a strong case for being recognised as a true world class fighter with his performance on the night, given the performance of the other man.

In my view, Froch and particularly Pascal would not be favourite against the likes of Andrade, Bika, Inkin, Balzsay, and it wouldn't surprise me if quite a few others beat them too.

When it comes to Froch, given that he doesn't have one-punch KO power or an iron chin, as we've found out, you could only confidently pick him against chinny fighters with little technique and ring-intelligence. Pascal doesn't have a good chin but he fought an intelligent fight, to the best of his ability and made it very close for Froch.

Both will have to improve considerably if they're going to make waves at the top of the division, in my view.

 

Mandatories could be the next best thing in 168 to make the fights happens.

 

Love to hear the Kessler thing - he is not afraid of travelling and that's just a fact!!!

How the hell did he prove that he did'nt have a Iron chin?
Also Pascal was awkward and Froch struggled to hit him flush. One fight without a knockout doesnt prove that a fighter does'nt have KO power. Time will tell however.
People claim that Kessler has knockout power but he has only knocked out bums. I am ones of these people though lol

 

Better then I expected...One of the better fights I have seen this year..but not the best IMO, it had action but my personal preference is to see a bit more technical skill in there which this fight often lacked.

Its all up to your own tastes though..twas a good scrap.

My balls up, i was'nt Kod by Kessler. But im one of the guys who thinks that the men he knocked out are no better than the men that Froch has knocked out

I thought that. He means he's one of the people who claim kessler has knockout power..... but i reckon kessler'd knock him out if he heard the preceeding conversation

 

Good video. Best was about Frochs manager on tape stats that he already has talks with the Taylor and Kessler camp. No ones trying to duck anybody - Period.
