your assuming that Cotto is stronger then Floyd , keep in mind just because cotto may or not be a stronger puncher then floyd , does not mean he is physically stronger then Floyd.

Cotto has never had outstanding stamina and has had issue dealing with fighters that match him physically in strength or have been stronger then himself. First example of that, is Cotto's fight with Shane.

Hatton could be hurt though. He had been hurt a number of times leading up to that Mayweather fight. Plenty of us on this board thought that Hatton might have been too small to really be effective with his style and it turned out to be true. Mayweather knew this also after seeing how Hatton struggled with Collazo. I give Mayweather credit for that win but not at 147. Only at 140.

Whether people want to admit it or not, size DOES play a signficant role when the guy knows how to use it. Margarito is a master of imposing his physical advantages in a fight. Mayweather would not wrestle with Margarito no way no how. If 170lb Daniel Santos was being worked over inside you better believe lil Floyd would be too.

I give the edge to Margarito on this one.

Floyd is much quicker, better defensively, and has underrated power. However, he is not going to be able to withstand the pressure. And he is not strong enough to tie up Margo. Honestly, he had his hands full physically against Hatton. Problem though, Hatton is nowhere near as durable and busy as Margarito.

I don't think he gets stopped though. I can see Margo winning a controversial split decision.

I agree that Floyd would get more credit for beating Hatton at 140 than at 147, but Hatton is better at 147 than he gets credit for.

At 140 it doesn't matter. Only haters will spin the facts.

Hatton has weighed 154 on fight night as a Jr WW before. I need to find the damn fight that it was.

Hatton when he fought Collazo at 147 was 160 on fight night.

When Hatton fought Paulie he was 152 on fight night.

When Hatton fought Mayweather he was 154.

So did 2lbs kill Hattons chances?

I defintely watch Margo vs PBF

but I think it would be too one-sided for PBF

Hatton went life and death with Collazo at 147. Collazo is a b-rated welter. Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Clottey would all beat the **** out of him. And I like Hatton btw.

It is even likely that Pacquiao would beat Hatton.

Weighing 160 was way too much, hence why he was so lethargic. He was down to 152 seven weeks from the fight so could have a takeaway to get to 147 for Collazo.

He is always 152 for any fight at LWW - the extra 2lbs wouldn't make much difference at all, I would agree.

Had he come in at 160 against Floyd though, he'd have gotten iced in about 6.

mayweather clear ud. mayweather's defense is just too much and if he can still use his legs he should win this.

What exactly makes you assume that Floyd is physically stronger than Cotto or Margarito for that matter?

Hatton went life and death with Collazo because he weighed too much.

He didn't weigh the same against Mayweather.
