Whats messed up with boxing fans these days is that when they see the slight bit of tallent in a boxer they start hyping him up and comparing him to world champions. Then start fantasy threads about how they would beat the current world champions

    recently:
Kell Brook - Yea he looked good in that 1 round. but too green and would get ruined by anyone in the top ten welterweight.

Chris Arreola - This guy is another so called hope for heayweight. He'll end up like rahman in the klitchko fight should that happen, so allow hyping this dude.

there are many more I just cant be asked to name them

This isn't as damaging as the "exposed" line that comes out whenever somebody loses, which really only serves to damage the game in the long run. If the boxing world responds like that a guy is going to think seriously about taking the 50/50 fights we want to see.

People get a bit giddy when they see some potential, but its mostly just enthusiasm or love for a guy they like.

i think if kell is handled and trained well, hecould be a class act and hold a world strap. no huge p4p star though, personally i can see resemblences in him and naz, think he;ll get too big for his boots too quickly and itll be his downfall

It's overkill in one way or another with boxing fans. Either by "hypetrains" or by "exposed". As soon as a boxer loses, that's him done. Look at Cotto. Proven world class fighter. 1 defeat and he's reduced to needing a confidence builder against Michael Jennings.

It's not as if he turned **** after losing. He lost to one of his biggest rivals. He's still better than most other 147's. No need at all for him to have to fight anyone outside of the top 10 in a comeback fight. But the way a lot of people turned on him overnight, like any other fighter, is astounding.
