when you train hard, and sacrifice....it makes the fight look easy......
i run marathons..... if you half ass train...come race day...you will feel like **** after 26.2 miles or you will feel like you had a good work out! all depends on how hard you train.
manny made the fight look easy because of what he does in the gym. james toney needs to take a page from pacs book

this is a perfect analogy. i have spoke to one of pacquiao's childhood acquiantance in general santos in a track oval here in manila. btw he is classified now as an elite runner in local marathons here. he spoke about the same principle. "train hard in practices and the actual events are easy". he told stories of running with pacquiao while carrying two sacks of cement when they were minors.

i agree with every words in this post. if you fought 24 hard rounds with jmm, most likely you will be polished as a fighter.

Obviously he trains hard. He always has done. But i think the fact that Diaz is very slow and DLH ****ed up the weight had a lot to do with Manny looking so good.

I don't mean to down play what Manny has done. He is one of my favourite fighter's, but im not going to blow his two latest accomplishments out of proportion. Diaz's lack of speed played right into Pac's quick hands and the fact that DLH was 'shot' or whatever you want to call it because he ****ed up the weight was one of the reasons why he looked so ****.

It was still impressive what Pac done - beating anyone naturally bigger than you is a tough thing to do, but i am going to wait to see how Pac fares against a live opponent at these higher weights before i evaluate how good he is above 130.

All of this aside I think another reason why Pac looked so good is that with him facing men so much bigger than him he took less risks. He knew if he got tagged by these guys he could be in trouble so he fought a much more diciplined fight. The Diaz fight especially. He fought in a counter punching style throughout large parts of that fight. In the DLH fight he went back to his normal aggressor style but he was more focussed - he did let his hands go but in short bursts and then he jumped out of danger again with his guard up high. He rarely stood in front of DLH trading for longs periods as he knew he couldn't afford to get tagged in return so although he constantly threw punchers they were just in more controlled, short bursts and then he would chance posistion.

When he was fighting men more his own size he could afford to be more reckless. It is what made him so exciting and is why many people love him but when you do take risks and brawl like he used to you can get hit in return and it can make the fight much tougher than it needs to be. By fighting more with his head and not his heart it made the fight easier for Pac.

I think these were the main reasons Manny has made it look so easy over his last two fights. He should be comended for fighting the right style to comprehensively dominate both men and having the discipline to stick to the game plan and not go out all guns blazing after the first few rounds when he was looking so good but the fact that Oscar was weight drained and Diaz is very slow of foot and hand should not be over looked either.

you down played it in every sense of the word.
Diaz speed was pretty good in beating the **** out of erik morales.
DLH looked good in shutting out forbes in previous fight...dont want to hear anymore weight drained **** about oscar. if it was that big of a deal then he should have fought anotonio margarito at a higher weight rather than messing with a little guy
fact of the matter is...... DLH got...........

pac has had some easy fights. diaz is not on level with JMM or any elite fighter by that matter....oscar was apparently ****. barerra wasn't anything at all in their last fight. morales was pretty done for his last 3 fights, two of them against pac.

I did want DLH to fight Margo as well and i think he got everything he desrved. He got embarrassed by an ex flyweight which is very funny but i still think the weight issue had a part to play.

DLH looked good against Forbes because DLH weighed 151 lbs on the scales. Having to go below 147 for the first time in 7 years is what ****ed him in the Pac fight. ALso the fact that he went as low as 145 didn't help. Im not excusing DLH here. It was completely his own fault but if this fight had taken place at 150 then i believe we would have seen a much different DLH.

Freddie Roach even insisted the fight take place at 147 as i believe he had a feeling that this would hinder DLH greatly. Obviously if it was at 150 Oscar would have had a few extra pounds on him but i believe the main reason Roach insisted on the fight taking place at 147 is because he knew Oscar wouldn't be the same fighting at this lower weight.

As for Morales v Diaz, Morales was way past his best. He looked ok early on but then tired badly. Diaz looked good against Morales because Morales was a spent fighter at that point, imo.

which means Manny should take on a tough fight with either Ricky Hatton, Timothy Bradley, Floyd Mayweather or Zab Judah

At the end of the day all those fighters will be laballed as SHOT if pac WINS!

....then you will hear BOXER x could have schooled pac if pac fought boxer X in 2004 or if the fight took place in 1998:rofl
