I am surprised and a little excited that Haye actually has the balls to follow through on what he said. He said he wanted the best and now it looks like he is getting the best. I'll comment on his chances as the fight draws closer, but damn good to see a heavy not afraid of the biggest challenge in boxing right now.

This is not how boxing has been historically. If you are a champ in one division you get a free ride to move up. I find no fault with that. heavy needs the excitement.

Kessler could have done the same thing by fighting Dawson at LHW. Pavlik could move right up to fight kessler. PW got almost right into a fight with Verno. Moving up if you are a proven champ to figth a champ in a higher division is not a new precedent.

Why are you suprised, Haye has strived to fight the best opposition since he turned pro,
he has never ducked anyone and always looked to challenge himself and gun for the best.

I'd Rather watch Haye than any of the bum's that have "earned" the right to fight a Klitschko.

Man, I usually hate asking for a guy to get KTFO out, but I honestly hate David Haye's fans so much I can't wait for him to get KTFO so they STFU.

Haye isn't the only one to call out the Klitschkos. All heavyweights do.

They make A LOT OF MONEY when they fight them.

They ***** when the Klits wont fight anybody of note, they ***** when they do. Jeez, why are all you "fans" so negative. This will be a great fight, I must say im quite surprise and pleased that it is on. Just like was said above, champs have always been able to move up and get into a title fight in the next weightclass without many fights in said weightclass.

This statement above is ludicrous, its as if David Haye didnt spend valuable years of his life becoming the Cruiserweight Champ of the world. In emphatic fashion at that, sure hes new to heavy, but he is most certainly not new to boxing, and he deserves a shot at Vitali way more then any of the fighters whove gotten chances at any version of the heavyweight title for the past few years so shut up!

The difference is Haye is a former cruiser champ. Kinda like holyfield. It brings another level of excitement for a guy to leave a division that he has mostly cleaned up and go for a new challenege. Think of Calzaghe, then think of the exact opposite and you have Haye!

I know it is a big payday but I'm not so sure how wise it is for Haye to jump right in to the heavyweights like this. Shouldn't he fight a less talented big man first? I suppose he can always go back down if he gets destroyed by Vitali but I think this is a high risk move from a career standpoint

This is exactly why you respect the man. If more european fighters had Balls like Haye then no one would use the term Eurobum. Look at a guy like Sturm and now look at Haye.

Give Haye some respect, the man has balls of steel, even if he is bisexual.

I respect all professional boxers. And yes, he does have balls. I just think from a career standpoint he could make a wiser decision right now. All power to him though if he can pull it off
