Margarito had a fair amount of success against guys that were close to his size.

He lost to Santos but it was a close fight.
He beat Cintron, who is a large WW, 2 times.
He won a close fight against Clottey, who is a large WW.
He lost to Williams but it wasnt a blowout loss.

So I wouldnt say Margarito is hapless when he doesnt have his man totally outsized.

Margarito is the man at 147. Mayweather is retired, and coming out once a little lightweight stops a dead man. Enough said.

I edited it a little later saying I was in Orange County, but yeah originally in Glendale years ago. Then we moved to Orange County when I was young, but when I was born we were in the Glendale area. Los Angeles/Orange County area my whole life. Used to go to the fights at the Great Western Forum years ago. Saw my boxing hero Tommy Hearns fight at the forum two times. Those were my only times seeing him fight, which was against Kemper Morton in 1991 and next in 1997 Ed Dalton. Never saw Tommy fight in Vegas. I also went to the Irvine Marriot in the 1980s to see fights there, but those were Westminster Boxing productions or associated with them, and they were not good cards. After that I started going to the Forum where the cards were great with Genaro Hernandez and my first title fight Pedro Decima vs. Paul Banke.
