Well, Mikkel Kesslers promoter, Mogens Palle isn't afraid to shoot his mouth off, although it can be a bit confusing at times...

Last week he proclaimed that he was seeking a prime US fight for Kessler for 14/3-2009.

Today, Palle says to the danish media, that he has been contacted by Frochs promoter, Mick Hennessy, and they are interested in unification.

Kessler says, Froch will be a physically tough challenge, but that he wants to unify, and that he will fight anyone in front of him...

    What to think ???
Can Hennessy worm out of the mandatory against Taylor, or ????

Depends...I could honestly see Taylor setting up a deal where he gets a shot at the winner, which would be much more worth his while.

I would rather see that scenario as well.....

Better exposure for Kessler, and better bargaining power in the US with 2 belts...

Can Froch fight again this soon? Didn't he injured his hand during the fight with Pascal and injured his ribs in training camp?

I doubt he'll be ready to fight again in 2 months.

I would love to see this scenario...if Palle can pull it off, Mikkel will have the chance to silence alot of critics by fighting Froch and Taylor consecutively.

Haye has gained a lot of fans by taking on the main bull in the pack.

If Froch does the same, we will know why the Brits won us the war. :good

Picking fights is one thing. Winning them...

    Froch v Kessler
    Haye v Vitali

    Could spell doom...

From Kesslers perspective, fighting a fight in the US, then fighting the winner of Froch-Taylor makes much more sense exposure wise, but of course DiBella might somehow force the WBC to get some exposure before Taylor takes the shot. But Neither of these fighters are interesting for the US market, so what would be the point?

    Anyway, Kessler by late KO

IF the fight is going to happen,it would be great!!
WBA-WBC titlefight, that would be great for kessler.
We know that Kessler want´s to unify,so hopefully Froch backing he´s words up with a signature on the contract.
Ithink the SMW division is talented, and there are a lot of good fights to be made IMO.

Wasn't it Russia and USA that won you the war??? :smoke

But as Ed said ... one thing is calling for the fights another thing is winning them...

But thumbs up if Froch puts his face where his mouth is and takes the fight ... and the same to Kessler for going after the belts and going to the UK again.

Good to see that the young guys in SMW are actually looking to make the big fights happen ... back in the days of Calzaghe/Ottke that's surely wasn't the case.

Details to be worked out ... I'm sure it can be moved to marts/early may ... Taylor paid of to wait a few mouths extra in return for a shot at the unified title - as Andrade did waiting for Kessler to face Beyer.

Kessler by UD. Froch has a great chin but is wide open for a decent boxer to pick him off all night. Kessler has the tools for the job.

Taylor might just end up fighting Bute instead. But I doubt it.
