Haye v Vitali Froch v Kessler Hatton v Pacquiao With even 1 of those fights going our way it would be glorious but who here really is concerned the big boys are up against it?
Just because they might lose doesn't mean that they will be finished or something. Well Hatton will probably be anyway but, Froch certainly won't be.
Very big assignments. However, Froch v Kessler isn't on the cards as far as I know. Taylor looks more likely - hope it happens - and this is winnable, if risky, for the Cobra. If Hatton and Haye win, can anyone imagine just how massive that would be?
Hatton will retire if he loses to Pac. If the others are dominated would their interest be the same as it is right now? No one will see Haye as a potential undisputed champ and Froch will be avoided and left hanging out to dry. The only way back for them will be a long spell with Frank Warren and an eventual shot at the WBO. If we're victorious in those above fights then it has to go down as one of the very best years of all for British boxing, non?
Could be one of Britain's biggest years. Title shot coming up for Enzo and an eliminator for Herbie too...
woods could get another crack at the IBF Most of our olympians turning pro amir khan could get a crack at the title as well as all the other, previously mentioned big fights, this could be a brilliant year...
I hope Froch, Witter and Haye do the business and the others get knocked out. Hatton is getting stopped by Pacman for starters.
I think Hatton genuinely believes he can beat Pacquiao - and why not? After all, he has never really looked like losing at 140, and Pac has yet to beat a live opponent above 130 - DLH was clearly dead at 145, and Diaz was handpicked. Pac could present style problems, but Hatton is more vulnerable to a straight right and left hook, the opposite of Manny's best weapons. Even if he loses to Manny, he won't be finished - Manny will go on to other superfights, whilst Ricky can still clean out 140.
We're doomed to three of our best fighters being in absolutely massive fights? London could host the two biggest fights in World boxing next year? This 'doom' malarkey sounds a lot more palatable than it's usually cracked up to be...
Every week we have a thread asking 'what if all of our fighters lose' Take any country at all, hand their top 3/4 fighters a defeat, and they'd not look in such good shape Fact is, all of our top guys have won their fights this year
