It might be met with a shrug at first but then it was a unification fight so there is more to gain for Taylor in fighting Kessler. Not bad at all.
:tiredfroch by an embarassingly easy ko victory, kessler is just as slow and predictable as froch,so makes for a good fight while it lasts:tired
Froch is 31 & has gone on record as saying he wants to fight as often as he can given his late start in boxing. An active boxer is a motivated boxer and a motivated boxer with a chin & power like Froch is dangerous indeed. I'd have given Kessler the nod until recently but his recent spout of bum fighting & Froch's chin & power display from his Pascal fight make this interesting. If Froch did somehow manage to pull of the unexpected and KO Kessler Calzaghe would look pretty silly.
Let me get this straight, you're accusing Kessler of fighting bums while the biggest name on Froch's resume is Jean Pascal, who he struggled with?rofl:rofl:rofl
Yes I am. Kessler didn't have to fight those by choice, Carl did. And Carl has chased bigger and better things. Kessler also had options for the WBC belt and pass on Carl. I'm not saying Carl would win - people here on ESB read what is written but never take in what is written - but Carl has given recent activity by himself and his promoter been the more driven.
So your saying Froch had to fight Pascal in his fight for a vacant title but Kessler didn't have to fight Sartison in his fight for a vacant title or Haussler, who the WBA mandated an immediate defence against. Err, you probably need to explain the actual difference to me...
Mads Larsen vs Roberto Cocco is a undercard at Holyfield vs Valuev dec. 20th Mads Larsen is doing what he's doing to late, I see no future for him.
Exactly which bums are you talking about? Bums like Beyer, Andrade, Sartison, Mundine, or Calzaghe? Froch doesn't choose to fight bums, he has to? Really? I've seen Froch fight. Of course they're looking for big money fights, because there's no way he holds onto that belt if he has to fight real contenders, pick any top 10 even top 15 SMW, and especially if his mandatory is Jermain Taylor. I can already see them posturing to price themselves out of that fight and vacate the belt in a pathetic attempt to extend his shelf life a bit. And all this talk about Calzaghe?:rofl Yeah, Calzaghe's gonna drop back down to 168 to fight Froch, who hasn't even successfully defended the belt and has no top ten fighters on his resume, for a belt he already vacated.patsch
I never once said Calzaghe should drop down to 168.... I shouldn't have to go over what I've said. I said that if Froch beat Kessler via KO it would diminish Calzaghe's win. Henessy offered Kessler more money than he got with the Sartison fight to fight Carl Froch for the WBC fight yet Kessler did not take it. The argument as to whether Froch would win or lose is irrelevant - I'm not saying Froch would win but I am saying he wants to fight. All the evidence points to this and all the evidence points to Kessler not doing anything. This is all I am saying.
Evidence please... If you are going to submit a link to an interview with either Froch or his manager then don't bother
Well seeing as the only evidence for or against would be from Palle/Hennessy's lips that puts me at a disadvantage doesn't it. The fact remains Kessler & his handlers have not been doing a good job post Calzaghe whereas Froch's have and through no fault of his own has it taken this long to get the WBC belt. There's no favouritism in that statement just fact. I'd love to see a Kessler/Froch fight regardless of who wins but I cannot fathom why so many people are against this fight? Kessler should just take it - it's clear he's the expected victor & I just want to see it.
This fight ain't happening fellers. It's just talk. Even if Froch is good to go as early as that, because he won himself a vacant title he has to defend against his mandatory Taylor and another mandatory *the winner of Karo Murat vs. Marcus Johnson before his title is good to be defended in a voluntary defence or to be unified. If Jermain ain't interested in Froch Froch has to defend against a second mandatory after Murat Johnson winner before he can call the title his own for good.
