Floyd offered Margarito a date with very little time to properly perpair for the fight, he was training to fight a guy named Gomez, why would he drop everything to fight Floyd then and there? He didnt have the kind of sparring needed to fight a guy like Floyd, he had the sparring needed to fight a guy like Gomez. Floyd only offered him that as a last min resort to save face, knowing that in this sport you need to have a solid 8 weeks of training camp when your fighting someone on that level. in other words Floyd made that offer knowing it would be turned down, why would Floyd make that offer? two reasons one to save face, the second is in hopes that the fight did happen he would have a better chance becuase Margarito was training for a guy like Gomez, not a runner like Mayweather. if you know boxing you know this, if not I dont know what to tell you, But Pimp C sooner or later Margarito will make you respect him. and when that happens ima be right here waiting.
