Lol.. I left the thread because I was busy doing something. I posted in the lounge quickly. I didn't have to time to sit and read through a nut hug fest of Margo fans.

But I find it funny you call Baldomir not a legit WW. Considering he became the Lineal WW Champion... unlike Margo or Cotto. And he's fought there nearly his whole career... Take away the Lineal Championship he's still a legit WW

Why don't the guys at 160 fight at welter then? It is after all a more lucrative division. Why is Vernon at 154 when his best work is at 147?
    Why?
Because they can't make the weight without killing their bodies.

Margo CAN, therefore he is a Welter.

He's not too big, he's just bigger than most. But he should be fighting at super welter.

Just because Floyd beat Carlos Baldimir who was a lineal champion does'nt mean it was a great win considering the level of Baldimir who's a B- level fighter at best and I only give him that high of a rating because he was the lineal champion and nothing more.

At least he can say he's been the official champ at 147. Something Margo cant say about himself.

No one is saying Baldomir is great. Floyd was jumping weight and fighting the number 1 guys of each division.

At 140 he couldn't fight Zoo or Cotto or Hatton so Gatti was the best choice. Baldomir was #1 at 147. DLH #1 at 154

Cotto nor Margo have yet to become Lineal or a true number 1 to their division.

Margo is just a blown up welter, face the fact.

Again I have no problem with who Floyd fights personally, I have always defended him from unreasonable people, I'm just saying that lets keep his win over Baldimir in perspective whether he was the Lineal champ or not.

    No doubt.

Baldomir has still done what no one else in the WW has done besides Mosley.

It was a good win for Floyd. But it wasn't a great fight. Floyd showed that he was levels above Ta Ta. But Ta Ta was the official champ. If Baldo was the official champ right now, Margo would be going after him too.
