Enzo Maccarinelli V Tomasz Adamek

If Enzo gets by Banks this would be the best fight to be made at cruiser imo. Adamek is tough and a hard puncher but he takes and awful lot of shots, definately winnable for Enzo... doubt warren will push for it though.

 

This is a great fight. The winner could claim to be the genuine best cruiserweight in the world but Enzo has to get past Banks which is an hard task. Alexeev will also want to fight those two but he is kept very safe and away from danger. The division is pretty good at the moment.

 

Enzo has some size advantage, and I'm sure he'd love to fight an ex light heavy to be the proper #1 at cruiser.

However, Enzo brings nothing, not even the WBO belt. Is it even worth it for Warren to give someone like Adamek a big payday to come over here? I mean, what if Enzo loses the title in his next fight (that said, I suppose if he succeeded, he'd dump the IBF belt, keep the Ring title, and do what he wants with Ring mag approval).

If Showtime continue to give fighters a bit extra $ for the great fights, we could see Adamek-Cunningham 2, maybe even 3. A big home fight vs Wlodarczyk also beckons.

Sadly, Enzo lost his biggest fight (haye) and is going back to what he did before, i.e. vacant WBO title! I doubt Adamek is foaming at the mouth for this. Macca is just not regarded well in the states, ala another good Brit Clinton Woods. Some of us Brits want to see Enzo-Adamek, but no one else gives a ****!

 

I have to agree with rumour24tiger, Enzo needs to get some good names on his record pretty quickly to get one of the big CW fights.

 

I wouldn't say Alexeev is being kept safe. He's been brought up pretty tough. He'll be ready very soon. Well..he's ready now, but I guess his promotion will wait a while longer.

 

Adameck has a granit chin and a huge punch.

 

He doesn't have a huge punch at all. He couldn't even knock out Chad Dawson with that huge punch and he's supposed to be an amazing puncher at cruiser? If David Haye even so much as grazes Dawson's head what do you think happens?

He's a good puncher, nothing more.

 

If Macca won, the IBF belt would be dumped in the trash can pronto.

 

Adamek is so easy to hit.....I would pick Macca here.

 

No one has even heard of Cunningham in the states and Adamek is only known for his fight with Dawson. Macca could easy get a fight with these two and give both a pay day but I doubt Warren wants him to fight guys at that level too often. Hopefully Macca will force the big fights and hopefully he will cxome through with credit and wins. I would probably pick Adamek over Enzo but it should be a good fight. Enzo is a good cruiserweight even though his opposition has been sketchy at times although the Braithwaite fight was very good seeing as he then went onto destroy Hernandez.

Alexeev has faced ok opposition but nothing near top class. I do like him though.

 

Why?

 

Because he would be forced to face someone half decent.

Warren can't have that.
