Really one of those fighters who came into the spotlight out of nowhere for most fans.

His performance against Diaz was, in my opinion, one of the best masterclasses of the past few years. He looked like a lightweight Bernard Hopkin's in there. Turning back the clock and implement dirty inside tactics with boxing... Just beautiful stuff. That fight alone made me a fan.

His other performances are somewhat overlooked, I think.

He absolutely dominated Almazbek Raiymkulov, and in Kid Diamond we're talking about a fighter that dominated Emmanuel Augustus 89-100 on two seperate cards over 10 rounds. No robbery, he beat the living **** out of Augustus. And Campbell slapped Diamond around and stopped him!

I also feel Campbell deserved the nod against Casamayor back in 03'. Campbell had barely been a pro for three years and I feel he edged Casamayor by a point or two, and this is back when he was one of the best fighters in the world hands down. Not a lot of discussion on that fight, it's like no one has seen it.

And in recent months Campbell was robbed of a chance to really shine against Guzman, which irked me to no end.

So, thoughts on the Galaxxxy Warrior?

Great fighter, great person, keeps it real, and I believe stands a chance against anyone he fights at 135.

I think Guzman owes Campbell money.. I love nate. When he's not getting careless against guys like Peden he's top notch..

I heard he didn't take a drug test before the Diaz fight.

i think campbell is a good fighter who works well to his strengths and his opponents weaknesses but if he cant find a weakness hes not as good.

i personally think guzman, casamayor, juan diaz (rematch), marques, pacman would all beat him at lightweight just now

Did you see the condition Casamayor's face was in at the end of his fight with a rookie Campbell?

Casamayor's obviously on the slide as of now where as Campbell has done nothing but improve.

One of my favourite fighters until he started bad mouthing Peden after their first fight..Still really like him though.

I didnt have him beating Casa...But Joel really eeked that decision out, it was a hard fight where he was rocked a couple of times.

It would be to frustrating being a true fan of his though...he is unbelievably inconsistent...but you would probably expect that from having so little experience compared to his peers.

Hot and Cold and Old. And I think hes ready to go cold or old again. Losing twice to Peden who a past it Barrera ofcourse easily shut out, is an example of him running cold at best and at worst simply being average. I wouldnt be completely suprised if Funeka takes him or Barrera for that matter. And hes very lucky Guzman didnt make weight because he would have lost every round and been schooled
