I think Mannys evasiveness and skill as a defensive boxer is greatly underestimated. He has evolved into a elusive and skilled fighter. There was a moment in the DLH fight where pac was moving right- ducked a hook- was comin up- then ducked again - all while moving right- and maintaining balance and attack stance.

people here are thinking its a puncher versus mauler- and hence the stronger bigger guy wins. But Mannys a boxer puncher now - and a better more skilled guy than Hatton. I think he can avoid Hattons lead hook- and counter well with his straight left. You need a great lead straight right to neutralise a southpaws side stepping- and i dont htink hatton has one. i also think Pac has the advantage in stamina. Hatton has unbelievable heart- but mainly when he s at home. PAc fghts non stop for the full 12- only floyd has that stamina. Hatton fights in bursts- then clinches to rest. So Pac has him later rounds also.

basically i think Hatton is a guy- not unlike jeff fenech - who has done well for being the stronger bigger guy in his weight class. his ability to lose weight is amazing . he grows to 155 every time he fights. but matched up against strong guys- or great movers- i ve found him to be a clumsy and rather ugly fighter. I see hatton mauling and grabbing alot- infighting - as ahe always does- but pac being hard to catch up with on the ropes- and pac bringing it middle ring. here pac outpoints and eludes hatton- making hatton look kinda clumsy. Hattons not necessarily the bigger puncher here guys- i think hattons more like a club- but pacs a chain and ball- a whip of a punch. Hatton bruises- but Pac cuts and bleeds ya. Pac takes Hatton . TKO 10. floyds sr steps in to stop the carnage.

I am a big Hatton fan and would obviously want him to win. I also love Manny, but would still root for hatton. That being said, prior to the DLH fight, I would have said Hatton ate Manny for breakfast, but now I favour a relatively easy Pacman win for the following reasons.

    1) It's all well and good saying Hatton is a different prospect to DLH, which is true, but with Hatton's diminished chin, and Pac's quick, accurate, frequent and hard straight lefts, I think it is possible Hatton will get stopped on cuts or just stopped.

Hatton moved his head alot more in the Malignaggi fight, so if that is enough to make Pac consistently miss, and Hatton can pin Manny to the ropes he might be able to win a close decision on aggression/workrate. But as Manny showed against DLH, he is quite smart and despite Hattons quick feet, it is doubtful whether he will be able to consistently pin him back.

why bother the haters never do, i already know what the excuses will be this time around.

Hatton isnt the best fighter in the division just because the ring said so.
Pacman didnt beat Hatton, Hatton beat himself with his out of gym lifestyle.
    Mayweather already destroyed him.
and of course the ever typical Hatton is shot.

Any chance of you Pacfans stopping whinging about something that hasn't happened yet. Its 5 months from the potential fight and all this bitching and feeling sorry for yourselves is getting old already.

    For the record:

Hatton IS the best fighter at 140.
His outside the ring lifstyle hasn't affected any of his performances yet.
Mayweather has already beat him pretty comprehensively.
Hatton is not shot, he had one 'iffy' fight against Lascano.

Hoya beat forbes more convincingly than berto, went SD with PBF and KO Mayorga, stop making excuses. You dont even have anyone to blame for "ruining" DLH. Diaz has an iron chin, watch Holt-Diaz. Holt couldnt finish him at all and he landed 20 punches in a row..Diaz was KTFO by pac.

If you're implying Hoya was in great shape, I don't want to discuss it. Only a ******* thinks Hoya of the Mayorga fight was the same as the Hoya of two weeks ago.
