I'm more worried about Haye getting KO'd horribly than revisionism, I must say.

Revisionism is, always has, and always will be rife on this forum because people can't accept being wrong gracefully.

If Haye wins it will be the least of our worries. Just enjoy it.

In all honesty i think Haye vs Wlad would be a better fight as Haye would actually make Wlad have to fight which could possibly lead to a Heavyweight Hagler Hearns while it lasts.

I think Wlad looks bad out of all this as Haye has been giving him **** for months now.

Vitali - Haye i think will be a much more tactical and slower paced fight.

well its not exactly the same, but i remember an awful lot of people saying that lacy would ice calzaghe on this forum. i cant remember many backing joe to be honest. days after joe won lacy was slatered and joe was vastly discredited despite a brilliant performance

What really appeals to me is if Haye beats Vitali....think about how big an even Haye-Wlad becomes in that instance!

I'm quite a big fan of the Klits, and I've been a critic of Hayes conduct since he beat Mormeck (loved him before that, since the Arthur Williams fight that he took very early on in his career 10th fight or so) but he has firmly won me back over as it seems that the nastiness towards a classy guy in Wlad will be the benefit of HW boxing as a whole as it's setting up hugely interesting fights!

For that reason, I'm rooting for Haye versus Vitali. I believe he can pull if off as well....then a fight with Wlad becomes the biggest since Lewis-Tyson and potentially the most signficant since Lewis-Holyfield.

I originally joined this forum in late 2004 under a different name....but was rather obscure and faded away becoming a mere lurker in 2005...I returned specfically for the Calzaghe fight to register my prediction of a UD for JC.

I remember the poster Max Molyneux being admanant that Calzaghe would win....that is the only one that I can recall. I knew when I logged back on, ESB would be rocked to it's core and so it was, with people acclaiming a world class fighter who had stayed off the radar, at least in the States for far too long...

Then the revisionism started, and it seems that since then your either with or against JC: there is very little middle ground. And that's pretty sad. I'm not the biggest fan of Ricky Hatton say (though I once was TBH) but I try and remain objective about him, in spite of that.

As TFFP says, people just don't like being wrong, they don't take it gracefully at all.

Lads, don't even gratify him with a response. He's simply a poor man's China_Hand_Joe, I don't even find him amusing unlike ESB Legend CHJ.

His act is plagiarism in my book and old hat. However, while I don't bother my arse with his shitty threads(some of his are actually serious like the Colin Hart one, I'm sure you know the shitty ones) he can't refrain from posting in mines despite regarding it as being of poor quality.

Im not a big fan of the Klits to be honest and whilst Haye can come across as a bit of a twat at times i do think he is bringing some much needed excitement to a seriously dire division.

Personally i think the best scenario in a perfect world would be Wlad, then Vitali.

I just get the impression Wlad wants nothing to do with Haye, and if he did manage to beat Vitali Wlad would run a mile in my opinion.

I doubt it man, Wlad has never been a ducker. Some might say he avoided the Sanders rematch, but giving how devastating that defeat was, he needed to get his confidence back and I believe the plans were to give Sanders a rematch before he ran into Brewster...he did offer Sanders a match but by that time he was well retired.

He also gave Brewster a rematch, which many thought would never happen. Most thought he would avoid Peter who was mega feared back then, but he infact called him out.

Nah, Wlad would fight him man, he wouldn't have any choice really BUT to fight him should that scenario occur.

What I'd say as well is that Haye seems to have chosen Vitali was much as the Klits have put him forward. This is probably because he recognises that Vit Klit is older and doesn't have as long left as Wlad and therefore it makes sense to face him sooner and Wlad is still relatively young as far as HW's go: that fight can be made later. Furthermore, Vitali is hot right now having came back and beaten Peter so easily....theres a great reward factor there too, with Vitali still having a bit of mystique about him given the nature of his losses with Lewis and Byrd whereas Wlad is proven chinny and a victory over him would represent less of a shock.

That's pretty much why I think that's why Haye has went after Vitali.

    Fair enough :good

Though in actual fact, the first time we ever crossed paths was when you were slating Scottish and British boxing legend Ken Buchanan and given the amount of pish you spoke that day, I do confess I've never really held you in any great regard since.

Good day to you sir :D
