Open Letter To Vitali Klitschko David Haye is your brother's arch-nemesis. David Haye is your brother's fight, not your's. With all due respect, you must stop poaching the big heavyweight fights from brother Wladimir and let him have a big marquee opponent to get fired up about. Samuel Peter was going to be Wladimir's defining moment - we all know he was going to knock out Peter - but you swooped in and took that important fight from Wladimir and all the credibility that went with it, considering how so many people looked at the once formidable Peter as something special. Now finally we have a worthy antithesis on the scene - we have a talented challenger who is a big talking character with a lot of public support. David Haye is livening up the heavyweight division with his brash, in your face personality and exciting, go for broke fighting style. Haye even went so far as to insult Wladimir, calling his style a disgrace and that he should be stripped of the title for lack of excitement. This is just what is needed for the career of Wladimir, who we all know is a great, dominant fighter. Wladimir and most boxing fans are tired of these fights against overmatched opponents who fail to challenge the champ physically and psychologically. There is an old boxing saying that explains it: "Great fighters have trouble getting up for mediocre fights." Rahman, Ibragimov, Austin, Brock were all mediocre fights, nothing more. Now David Haye is generating excitement and buzz and his personality and style will make a Klitschko-Haye a major event. And this would be the biggest fight of Wladimir's career. This is exactly what he needs at this point. With all due respect, Let Wladimir have the chance to unleash his fury on Haye and his ample mouth. Apparently, there is not a 100% finalized deal between you and Haye. Call it off and let Wladimir take care of this business. You are obligated to face #1 contender Juan Carlos Gomez first anyway, which was supposedly part of your agreement with the WBC's rules and your getting the opportunity to beat Peter. Stop taking all the big fish of the heavyweight division for yourself and show some generosity to little brother whose time has come to step out of your shadow. This fight with Haye will do that. David Haye is the big fight for Wladimir, not you. Haye prefers to meet you anyway as he sees you as an easier assignment than taking on Wladimir. Don't give Haye what he wants, give your brother what he wants. #1. Wlad had already beaten Peter. Wlad beating Peter twice doesn't do anything other than prove what we already knew. #2. Wlad would get absolutely no credit for beating Haye right now. I can already hear the "blown up Cruiserweight" shouts ringing through my ears. However, IF Haye beats Vitali... we are talking about Wlad vs Haye being a HUGE fight. Not a big fight... but a HUGE fight.

To be honest man.. I think the guy has a point... Wlad needs to participate in a big time world shaking event.. something that Haye vs. Vitali will be. All the attention will be on them and once he pravails one way or another people will give him credit.. Sorta like Holmes vs. Cooney, or Louis vs. Shmelling 2 or Lewis vs. Tyson.... where the fight generated so much attention that everybody watched. Haye is doing great at promoting it cause people wanna see him smashed. Vitali looks like is taking that attention away from Wlad leaving Wlad bunch of mandatories and fights that generate no interest. We all know they both can smash Haye but Haye also brings public to watch him. Plus the way WBC went with open arms to let Vitali have a shot, he kinda does owe them a defense. If he dumps WBC by not fighting Gomez... it will look kinda low since they gave him a shot when NO ONE IN WORLD would have. Andrey
