Dan Goosen and Wes Crockett revealed, that the fight is likely on. Source is a known internetpage, which is not allowed to cite here.

Makes sense while Vitali is takin on Haye and Povetkin not yet ready. And Klitschko is fighting every third fight in the US. A Mexican american fighting for the HW title in his hometown....that makes sense....financially...you know? Who else should Wlad fight right now in the US? And Arreola tries to win.

Bernd Boente, the manager of Vitali/Wladimir (?) mentioned this on Setanta.

Outside of Arreola, there is nobody Klitschko could fight in the US. Povetkin and Dimitrenko are big draws in Germany for later in 2009. So Arreola would be the only american right now.

Wlad just keeps fighting these clowns, safety first jab n grab...pathetic. If it wasn't for his big bro and Haye the division would be totally dead. Forget Wlad.

I think it's way too early for Arreola, but HBO have pushed him to this platform and now he'll find out just how good he really is. Wlad will punish any mistakes badly.

Arreola-Wlad will be brutal. Chris doesn't know how to be careful and he'll push Wlad. Chris will get nailed, but somewhere along the line he just may find Wlad's chin. Wisdom says Wlad will win, but he never reacts well when nailed flush and it is highly likely that Chris will find that tender head somewhere along the line.

Why are you calling Arreola a clown? Please explain.

i think arreola is the most dangerous fight out there for wlad. more than povetkin, which would look more like boxing masterclass and haye, who doesn't have the chin or defense to last long with wlad. arreola is much like peter in '05: young, undefeated, stalking, good chin and looking for the ko punch. and wlad had his hands full with the amateurish peter. i could see wlad get knocked down in the process, but he will probably win a UD or tko arreola late.

I'm getting confused. How can a clown be the most dangerous fight out there for the semi-undisputed champ?

Also how is it that the heavyweight division would be dead without Haye and Vitali, when the former fought only Bonin (who?) and Barrett and the latter fights once every four years?

he's back in training but he's said he wanted another tune-up before getting back to Wlad.
