It was easy to score if you presume that all that pressure from Kessler was effective. Kessler would bore in and throw a 4 punch combo without a single punch landing and then Mundine would snap Kessler's head back with a few jabs and a solid right hand and then land a few running right hands into the mid section on top of it. Mundine did a ton of clean scoring. You'd have to really sort through this fight to find all the blatantly clear scoring shots from Kessler. It was marginal. I agree, this was relatively easy to score.
If you going to slow down every single exchange you will probably find things that like in every fight but it was clear for all to see that Kessler was the winner of this fight, in every sense of the word. At the end of the day...no one from Team Mundine, no mundine nuthugger I have ever spoken to or even Mundine himself scored that bout for him...Even his very own commentator Barry Micheal had it for Kessler.
Yeah, this is sort of like credibility being slowly eroded away. Can you give us a round by round breakdown? I'll have to watch this again and refer to it. See if I can see where you are coming from, on any level.
You sure you weren't reaching a bit to make Kessler look bad? The judge who scored it 120-108 deserved to be punched in the suckhole but i can't see the fight being scored for Mundine. Australian fight fans are among the most uneducated because half of them just bounce over from supporting Rugby League (Mundine was an ex League star here) and i don't really think there has ever been much of a fuss about the decision.
Now you are just hurting your credibility with statements like that ...Mundine chased Kessler for a little bit then got outpunched clearly for the last half of the round..Maybe not everything landed for Mikkel but Choc went for looking for a KO to trying to avoid one very quickly in that round. You could argue Mundine won the round but BIG...thats laughable.
I agree Kessler held the ring general position for a longer period overall, unfortunaley he was getting tee'd off on when that wasn't happening so we're on different planets with this other bit about Mundine not scoring. He was rocking Kessler's head all over the place. Mostly backwards.
You find that laughable? I'm wondering if you aren't completely nuts to say Mundine didn't win that round.
Ok I get it now...surely a gee up...You cant actually be serious. You went from saying Mundine won a close one..to now he was teeing off on Kessler and rocking him all over the place. Whateves mate Im out...good luck finding anyone who agrees with you even in the slightest.
This has got to be one of the most absurd things I have ever seen posted on this board. The real debate is if Mundine won 3 rounds or 4. :ahhhh
