IMO both fights would take place in his hometown, and with the crowd backing and his hands going like windmills for 12 rounds, it is hard to beat calzaghe on points in his backyard.

Yes but probably not to Tarver (in the miracle event of Tarver getting past Dawson).

I believe both Hopkins and Dawson have what it takes to beat Joe Calzaghe.

It's possible I think Dawson has a better shot than Hopkins. Can't really see Hopkins doing any better.

    No.

Better question would be, Why is it the right thing?

    or

What about the right thing by Johnson?. Maybe he should get both Calzaghe and Dawson in the ring in 09, if your so concerned about the right thing being done.

"The Calzahe's dont do rematches"

So I guess we'll never see Hopkins beat JC.

As for Dawson? JC wont fight him either.:huh

Maybe JC is will challenge Hearn's to put another ATG on his resume...:-(

Hopkins' conditioning seems better at the moment though as evidenced during the Pavlik fight. I don't think he would slow down or resort to holding in the event of a rematch. I also think that Calzaghe wants nothing to do with Hopkins again, probably because he considers him dangerous.

Just another name to add to Joe's 'must avoid' list.

A very close SD, thats why he should rematch him.

Nothing else to prove? What has he proved exactly? Other than beating past their prime oldies.

There are plenty of good fights out there for him.

Beating Hopkins twice does absolutely nothing for Calzaghe.

The 'right thing' would be for Joe to retire, he has nothing else to prove expect to the haters and **** them all anyway.

I think it may be Joe's style. Like in the Taylor rematch he won't be able to win enough rounds in order to win the fight but who knows.

No he doesnt, he has 1 L in his name tho.:bbb

My guess is that if Joe did fight those 2 guys, he would retire at 48-0 rather than 46-0 then he would be ducking Johnson or Taylor or some other ****.
