Style wise yes. Pacman has always been successful vs brawlers. That's why i like pacman to win this fight vs hatton.

Manny's two ko losses were from body blows, and there is no way he will prevent Hatton from getting inside completely, and going to the body. Manny may be able to take the shots, but Hatton is one of the best body punchers in boxing.

I think people sleep on hattons handspeed, and how strong he is. And are putting too much into pac beatting a zombie in Oscar.

Roach should just shut up and stop putting added pressure on pac.

 

Lets not kid ourselves the De La Hoya fight just proves Hoya should not of gone down to 147 after what 7 years of not fighting at that weight. Especially at that age. We could all agree that was not an 75% plus Hoya in there.

Hatton will be good enough to make this fight competitive and both guys can pull out the win.

Ill bet it wont be as one sided as the Hoya fight I can say that.

This will be an pick em fight and thats what boxing should be about 2 guys going at it with nothing to split them.

It will be a masacare in there. I can see Pac stunning Hatton several times from mid range with the straight left, I can see him catching him with the right hook as he leaps in. Hatton has underrated foot & handspeed so I think he will catchup to Pac quickly, rough him up, however that style is more effective against boxers than punchers. Pac will punch his way out, land more and land harder. Pac KO 6 whilst cutting Hatton up in the process.

This is such a good fight to watch, all action, competitive but clear KO winner.

People will be surprised at how easy Pac makes this look. Even someone like valero is more dangerous than Hatton to Pac. I always said Pac hammers the likes of Diaz both Juan & David because of their styles and Hatton is no exception. Boxers stands the best chance and the best of them all in JMM still failed. Only one I can think of at 140 & below that can beat Pac is Bradley & JMM.

There's the old rule of boxers>punchers>brawlers>boxers.

BTW, its a myth that fighters who can push Pac into the backfoot are more successful. Morales had success with it because he knew when to back Pac up which is the most important thing, notice how he didnt war all the way through trying to Back Pac up. He timed it well, usually when he landed a jab or 2 on Pac and disorientated him. A brawler simply trying to come forward trying to push Pac back will just turn the fight into a war...no one south of 147 wins a war with Pac.

 

I think Roach is under-estimating Hatton big-time.

If he fights how he did against DLH he would destroy Hatton, but he won't. He respected DLH's left hook a lot more than he was letting on, Hatton is neither as big nor as accurate a puncher as DLH, but his volume is much greater, as well as workrate.

There is no way Pac will be allowed to fight his own fight - let's not forget, Pac is hittable and hasn't beaten a live/quality opponent above 130.

Hatton is made for Pac, but other than being a southpaw, Pac is made for Ricky.

Can the ribcage stand the battering it will get?
