A poster by the name of Soriano said JMM has more skills than PBF & Oscar. & just in case this Soriano poster or anyone else questions the truth of my statement, here's the proof, its post #67:

So I wanna get everyones opinions. Boxing wise, what does JMM do as good as/better than PBF? Here's my thoughts:

1 = JMM is a great counter puncher, PBF may still have a slight edge in this category but he isn't better, but I'll accept any argument made that he's as good.
2 = JMM is great at using the ring to his advantage, he has excellent ring generalship. His ring generalship IMO is as good as PBF's.

But I wanna hear opinions from you guysB!oxing wise, what does JMM do as good as/better than PBF?

I think he appears to be the better counter puncher because relative to the rest of his game its exceptional.
Maybe Mayweather's athleticism and eye for countering allows him be successful here...where JMM has schooled himself over time.

They have different styles, so its a little hard to compare them but I think overall Mayweather is certainly better.

    JMM has more boxing skill.
    PBF has more athleticism.

If they were both the same size a fight between them would be a huge huge fight for the real boxing fans.
    A high speed chess match.

JMM is cool, I like him alot, and its obvious that he has lots of skill(JMM vs Pac fights).
I think of JMM kinda like a Hopkins, he's a guy that can still be fighting at 40+ & still be competition for anyone!

That boy can't do **** with Floyd.

    JMM isn't fast enough.
    JMM isn't as skilled.
    JMM don't have the defense.

I don't really think it's all that close, to be honest.

Though I agree with your 3 statements about JMM, too bad this thread wasn't asking about what a fight between JMM & PBF would be like. You should learn how to read first, think second, speak third.

You say JMM isn't skilled enough or have enough defense, but one thing thats for sure is that he has more skill & defense than Paul Williams!

Jmm doesnt need lightning speed with his style
Jmm Better skilled in the exchanges
JMM has great counterpunching, doesnt use shoulder but instead uses skill to neutralize his opponents offense

PBF is on another level defensively, but JMM is a great counter puncher nonetheless.

I agree with this assessment, JMM is better defensively but not by much however I think Floyd is a class above JMM offensively
