'ken what i meen' is an east coast saying not a glaswegian saying .

Harrison is a train-wreck, i used to be a big fan of the guy but i really can't stand him now. I seen him in a pub in Cambuslang about a year and a half ago out his nut acting like a bam. When we first went in we were going to go over say hello but he just had a sort of threatening vibe about him that told us not to.

    Sad , sad film

Harrison made his own troubles but you could see there was a decent man in there somewhere.

i agree, i dunno maybe it's me trying to see good in someone but i hope he can come back as a man because it's not nice seeing a fighter i grew up as a teenager fall apart. he was one of my favorite fighters because he was the working mans fighter, plus i respect fighters like him that time out to acknowledge our troops and he did that. it wasn't as if scott had it easy if grafted to earn them titles and thats what dissapoints me with alex arthur maybe he's had it easy under warren. i hope fighters can use this as a stark warning that you cannot creep into this seedy world of drugs, sex, drink etc. i feel for his dad tbh he seems nice guy.

When he was talking about his past fights, the Chacon fight, and acting out the tactics in the ring, you could see that he was something of a decent guy.

I agree with above posts in taht the documentary didn't really get into the gritty details of what happened with Harrison - what he's actually been done for, possession of diazapam (smack substitute?), numerous pub brawls, the alcoholism. It kind of looked through a crack into his world, not a nice place to be. It was tragic to watch the archive footage of his wee boy playing with the world title belt and then for it to unfold that Harrison is bankrupt, will probably never fight again and could easily end up banged up in Spain for a few years.

Its a shame what happened to him. Half the pubs in glasgow have a scot harrison story. My dad has had him in his taxi and said he seemed like a really nice guy, but i know plenty who've seen him when he's drunk who'd say .otherwise/

Have met Harrison a couple of times through a friend and when he is sober and if you want to talk about boxing hes a okay guy, approachable and respectful, meet him with a beer in him and hes a different animal.

As a previous poster said most pubs in glasgow and east kilbride have a story about him but sadly not about boxing anymore.

I know I can barely understand the glaswegian myself.
What would you deem appropriate glaswegian west coast vocabulary?
I do know they say gadge, wean and buckfast.

i heard he was barred from about every taxi rank around the kilbeide area ! very sad sad i just hope that even if he never gets to box again he can turn his life around and maybe help ,train and give sound advice to boxers
