its not the gate that generates the big money in boxing, it's PPV, casinos and hotels.

I agree with the German venue's they lack enthusiam. Now I agree that the UK fans are more energetic than the USA, but take away the singing and its very close to noise. I have been to 100's of boxing matches in the USA and we get a ton of good fans here. In fact, I am going to try and make the pac/hatton fight in person.

Vegas is a GREAT venue to see a fight. Because it is such an entertainment center I can do things before and after the fight. (Shows, Clubs, gambling, pools, drinking etc without even traveling! Also prostitution is free if your not married and ugly:rofl

So, in reality, over a few days I think for me it is hard to beat a Vegas Venue and I can just drive there in 3 hours. I dont thinl there is a city that can match Vegas for entertainment anywhere else int he world.

think thats a fair post but you only have to look how kessler and froch are likely to be frozen out of the scene at the current time.

also its a little unfair that the euro's would always have to acclimatize and fight on foreign soil and with american refs.

just out of interest could someone educate on where the like of the wbc, ibf, wbo, wba are run from and what nationalities the chief members of each organisation originate from?

    lol the promoters are stupid...

the only example of this we can speak of is hatton & paqiou.....

the fight would make WAYYYYYYYYY more money in the uk... plus its uk money which is heavier than us money.....

the fight would do better in the uk on all accounts

    sales, hype, attendance

i dont know the ins and outs of the federations but, as ive already said, froch and kessler arent being "frozen out" of anything.

if froch's name can be thrown around with taylor's and kessler can get a fight with calzaghe and still carry a good rep overseas - then both only need a couple of fights against established fighters in the US with a decent fanbase to be in the mix for a big and meaningful fight that will establish them internationally.

ask yourself how often either fighter's promoter has allowed his fighter to make even one fight in america and that'll answer the question.

the post someone made before quoting kessler as having attended big fights but not being able to get one shows a degree of ignorance on his part if he thinks sitting ringside is going to get the big boys knocking on his door.

its understandbale from a HBO standpoint that they would reject froch.

even though some europeans might want to dispute it, taylor beat hopkins twice and fought pavlik twice to get where he is now.

honestly its a gift for froch if he gets it compared to who he's been fighting.

What? Are you stupid? To the broadcast companies boxing is just another revenue generating set of programs. That's it. For them it's nothing more nor less than a business. When it has been demonstrated to a certainty that there is more money broadcasting in Asia on an Asian schedule (for example) that is when it will happen. So quit cryin' and make it happen or stfu.

Damn, what a whiny ****in' post...
