I'm not getting into a convo about Floyd vs. Williams, I mean.. one thing is clear, Floyd would handle him with ease just like Carlos, only.. Floyd would never fold up like a cheap sun chair when he's eventually hit
Then dont say he's unbeatable. The problem with Williams' defense inside is that he doesn't protect his head. Carlos hadd his head down & was just throwing hooks & landing. PW falls all over the place when he gets inside, & thats when hes vulnerable. But like I said, if Verno was successful with those over right hands, what do you think Clottey could do to PW.
However, I'm talking about wat just happened in his last fight.... and if im not mistaken he was cut in his fight with Margarito... And the Quintana fight... I'm not saying that he's prone to cuts, BUT when something happens more than once, its easy to throw that question mark in the air..... Also, that cut he had was a nasty one... I brought the cut up for a reason.... 1. He was cut badly in his last fight... 2. Paul's defense leaves him open to face shots which could potentially cut him.... Headbutt or punch you get cut enough, it'll just become easier for him to bleed... Like Gatti....
:rofl Floyd is 100x better than Quintana. Quintana couldn't even have dreams of being as good as Floyd. But in reality, he was able to beat PW like he was in preparation for a fight, not a sparring match.
Those over hand rights were landing and some looked as if they bothered Paul Williams this is a guy who was never a big banger to begin with and he is past his best days. I think Paul Williams can lose at Welter Weight in a rematch with Margarito, in a fight with Cotto I beleive, and in a fight with Quintana a third time around, those fighters there all have a good shot at beating Paul one of them already did. at Jr Middleweight who knows it doesnt look like the talent is that deep at 154 so Paul can shine there if he likes, but at Middleweight he will get eaten alive by AA, Pavlik, and Miranda.
Floyd is better than Quintana no doubt, but style wise, Floyd doesnt have a high work rate, he loves to lay on the ropes and keep his left hand low with that shoulder roll style. The south paw jab and hook is there for Paul Honestly, and so is that straight left hand, I think Floyd though he has better skills than anybody in boxing, doesnt have the "Right" Skills to beat Paul Williams. To beat Paul Williams you have to be willing to exchange you have to be willing to push him back. Floyd wont do that, he will be on the bike all night just due to the size of paul alone.
I easily favor Williams to beat Floyd Even if Floyd say loses to Williams in the future. It's not the end of the world. Williams is a freak of nature at 147. EDIT - Had the names switched.
why are you even taking what im saying literally... you know what i mean..and im going to change the title just for you he was cut in both of those fights... correct.. look if he made it threw that big ass cut on his face against verno he wouldnt get cut against floyd.... floyd didnt even cut hatton up that badly if you want to really throw variables out there
Exactly. Pauls defense still needs improvement. But if PBF fought Paul at 147 weigh in on fight night, Floyd would eat em
So Floyd Will Kill Paul Williams... But will Lose to margarito? someone who likes margarito alot explain this to me
So you would favor him against PBF, Dzinziruk, Santos, Angulo, Abraham, Pavlik and even Sturm? :think
As far as cuts go, no one can predict cuts. Lazcano had Hattons face all busted up as to PBF not doing as much damage. So as far as predicting cuts, lets throw that out
if i was a betting man (and im not) i dont know enough about dzinziruk, angulo, sturm, ... but id take paul against floyd & santos pavlik is a toss up i think abraham is really a super middle so i dont include him and thats just how i feel
