Does anybody think Mundine might have a chance against Pavlik?

You can be condecending and post a ':patsch' if you like. I can see why you would.

When I imagine this fight I see it going either one of two ways:

First, Pavlik walks Mundine down, unaffected by his jab, and lays him out on the floor.

Another scenario is see is Pavlik struggling with Mundines speed, not being able to find him, and the fights going to the cards. Possibly with a Mundine victory.

You never know, this fight could come off if Mundine becomes Pavlik's mandaory and Pav is looking for an easy defense. This would of course be contingent on Mundine bing brave enough to fight him of course.

    Thoughts?

My thoughts are this is the 15th Mundine thread this week. Not bad for a guy who hasn't fought a serious opponent in years.

Watch his fight with Rashid Matumla 3 times and all is forgiven.

Id like to see this fight. Never been impressed by Pav.. and doubt he would catch Mundine. Id like to see Mundines management sent to Guantanamo bay. Id like to see a legitimate bunch of brains looking after the Man.
Mundine is simply a wind-up-toy for the wankers who control him.. Id like to see the Man let his fists do the talking, and shut his mouth.

ID LIKE TO SEE THIS ALL HAPPEN 5 YEARS AGO.

What a fkn waste. Regardless.... yep.. bring on Pav.

I think it would be a good matchup. Ive said it time and time and time again that Paavlik is overrated. I said it before the BH match and say it again now. Choc vs Pv would be a good matchup as long as Choc doesnt get caught up in the hype and fight cautious and scared of Pav.

There is no evidence that Choc could deal with Pav at middle because put quite simply..he is yet to fight there.

Best form at middle vs best form at supermiddle...very close fight...hard style for Pavlik but I also think the size and strength of Choc would be a determining factor, so drain him back down to middle and may not have those attributes...Kelly was very overrated before the Hops fight, I said that many times myself aswell hmmm..but we cant forget he is still an elite fighter with wins over elite fighters.

As it stands they reside in two different divisions...Pavlik has only one main rival to his crown as the best there...Choc would struggle to make the top 5 these days at 168.

At the end of the day...we will never see this fight.

Post Sm/W fights, mundine gains little weight.. hence his strenght and endurance at Sm/W.... He wouldnt have to 'drain' to M/W...His age is the only genuine factor detrimental to a lasting M/W effort..

He might make some stupid decicions via the managers...... hopefully something good comes of it...

    Hopefully the Managers get sacked..

I think Mundine would have had a chance of beating him a few years ago but I'd have to say not likely now.

Pavlik is a beast at 160. Mundine looks weak and has yet to even fight at 160.

The way I see it is if he could make it he would have by now...he basically has taken a year to shave off a pound at a time getting down to the limit he has yet to make..I think its clear they arent to confidant of his strength down there.

If the WBA had a shread of integrity they would have never of ranked him there and he wouldnt be ranked no1 just because Khoder requested it...But they are the WBA and like all the orgs they are only interested in the $$$.

Mundine would run and Pavlik would chase, if he catches him he knocks him out or beats him into his shell. If he does not catch him , its because Mundine runs well and he loses on points, the way these 2 fight i cannot see Mandy getting a decision. Still i think Pavlik does catch him and knocks him out.
