The fact that this fight even took place is the real outrage, nothing good was going to come from this fight.

    I watched Holyfield-Cooper this morning...now that's something that'll make you ****ing cry.

Watching Holyfield '91 then watching that shell in '08. And even worse, seeing that 'champion' get outperformed.

Both Valouev and Holyfield robbed the fans in that fight. Neither fighter did enough to win the fight, it should have been called a draw and a rematch ordered.

The Holyfield-Lewis 1 decision was terrible, I grant you that. And regrettably bad boxing decisions can happen anywhere on the globe. But it does seem like this happens more often in Europe than anywhere else.

Holyfield didnt jab much in the fight his tools used in this fight were the left hook and the over hand right. Very few jabs thrown from Evander, Valuev stood there and did Nothing Zero and in those rounds which were most of them Holyfield would score hooks and right hands, and Valuev didnt score ****.

Bottom line is the little that Hoylfeild done was alot more than the nothing that Valuev did, and how you win fights is by fighting Valuev simply did not fight at all did not land ****.

I had the fight a wide very wide UD in favor of HOlyfield I think the judges robbed Evander to simply save Holyfield from attempting to unify.

I think once people remove the emotion from their argument, they will see that Holyfield didn't 'win' by that much.

Obviously he was a clear winner, but I would only place this on a par with Hopkins vs Calzaghe or Wright vs Taylor, not as far as DLH vs Trinidad or Mosley II - certainly nowhere near his first fight with Lennox Lewis.

Holyfield looked good I mean he basicly fought the perfect fight, not the Perfect Holyfield style of fight with the drama that we once saw him always do.

But he did use good footwork to keep the big man from being set, he did slip duck and block 99% of Valuevs shots, and he did counter and score cleaner more telling shots.

Holyfield didnt stay inside too long and at 46 could you blame him? why would you let a man 310 tie you up lean on you and wear you down like that when you have had trouble with guys at 240 doing that to you? So when Evander did get inside he finished his work and got all the way back outside, and went back to his foot work.

Honestly its not like Evander rewound the clock what Evander did was use common sense in this fight and beat him using basic very basic boxing skills.

Exactly. He had the perfect strategy to win against this guy, he did, and these corrupt judges stole it from him.

    Outrageous!!

How did you score it Zakman I would like to see if you had it as close as some of these posters, I didnt see Valuev land a third of what Holyfield landed.

100 per cent agreed! Valuev lost the fight by several points and did virtually NOTHING during the 1st half of the fight. This is just another bull**** decision that ruins the sport and delivers further proof of how weak the current top heavies are!!

116-112. I gave Valuev the 7th and 8th and the 11th and 12th - and I thought I was being quite generous at that!!!

    Unbelievable!!:patsch
