Definitly a robbery. A shockingly bad hometown decision. Holyfield peformed excellently considering his mileage and age. Valuev though is an awful heavyweight champion. He is slow, cumbersome and has nothing in terms of physical talent. Size aside the man is useless. Some good could come out of this though as Holy may call it time.

Valuev won that fight. Holyfield boxed half decent for the first three or four rounds but after that he did zilch.

Valuev was shite as well but he was the aggressor for the rest of the fight and did more than Holy - albeit not much more, but more nevertheless.

I think alot of people just made their minds up after three rounds that Holy was going to win but I made a point of taking each round individually, and Valuev nicked it imo :)

He wasn't the aggressor at all.

He held the centre of the ring, but didn't do **** once there.

Holyfield didn't do much himself, it must be said - but at least he actually showed some boxing skills.

    116-113.

    That high?

In all seriousness I had it 116-113 for Holyfield - and whilst it was a robbery, I feel people are getting too emotional.

It wasn't much worse (if at all) than Hopkins vs Calzaghe or Wright vs Taylor, a level below DLH vs Trinidad or Mosley II. Nowhere near as bad as Lennox vs Holy I.

I think there is too much dewy eyed Holyfield love going on (multi time HW champ, what could have been). They were both as bad as each other imo, and I wouldn't complain at a draw or either of them just nicking it. Valuev just nicked it in the end.

Holy hardly came to fight, or even hit and move... he just stayed at a constant distance bouncing around throwing on very rare occasions..

I thought Holyfield just won that fight and the boos from the crowd showed what they thought of the decision. Yes he was on his bike most the time but the circus freak from russia hardly did anything of note.

If Haye wants a belt he should go after Valuev as he would beat him easily.

The booing were from the beginning, nothing really to do with the fight...

I noticed on the BBC website straight after the fight it said that "Holyfield was well beaten in Zurich" not even a mention of it being a contrversial decision.

Get a hearing aid mate. When the decision was announced the booing went up and the crowd cheered on Holyfield, maybe Das Erste added the extra booing but it was certainly there.
