These guys don't even know anything about what Arum does, he always promotes a certain unknown fighter in his stable with bogus multi million offers he claims he made for other major names to gain attention and usually it's a success, that's his job.

Hagler, Hearns and Hop either did or attempted to gain revenge. Stop lying to the boards...

Arum is the same guy who told us Morales offered J.M.M a fight when Barrera, Morales and J.M.M were all under Arum for years, and never thought about fighting J.M.M until late in their careers. Arum gave J.M.M a take or leave it offer and only offered J.M.M $100,000 more than what he earned in his first fight with Pac, and J.M.M and PAc werfe under Arum lol.

His bull**** stories are always there, I really can't insult him for it, he does his job and what he's supposed to do. Even if it takes risking his reputation he still gets it done to promote these guys as they pay him to. You just have to see through it, though with the majority being children they will obviously buy it and he knows that.

Got to love how to didn't bother much with the Paul Williams talks, Goossen got all too serious and Arum had to publicly announce that they want no part of Williams anymore. Right in the face, no games or tricks available to pull there after the thrashing Goossen handed them.

J.M.M and Nacho thought Arum was making too much money for their fight, and Williams did also when it came time to make the Pavlik fight. How do you pitch a low ball offer to a WW champ who wants to fight the MW champion:dead ...!!!???

Well **** it...I skimmed through this and saw blah blah blah I love Floyd blah blah blah you don't know about boxing because I love Floyd more than you do blah blah blah:verysad:dead

I've never seen more excuses for a fighter in my life...

I thought DLH was adored and protected, but FFS...this is beyond ridiculous

Is this TMZ or boxing? I give a **** less who fought who and who offered who money and at what time and who's ducking who...point is...the man retires...unretires...

Not scared? PLLLLZZZ...there are great fights to be made with real fighters with names and big things to do...and the man is just behind the scenes talking ****, counting his money, and walking around with his cronies "im money may i make it rain" :blabla

Hopefully we see a motivated Floyd come out and do his thing...quite frankly I will admit the man created interest when he was in the sport...and it was always a pleasure seeing him work, even when I hated the man and wanted to see him beaten...

Hopefully 2009 will be a better year...Again...the man has skills, but hasnt warranted them in this new terrain that is the WW division...this is ALL opinion in reality...you have yours...I have mine...

I honestly don't waste too much time following who's offering who what kind of money and all the post and pre interview bull****...I'm a fan of boxing...I love to watch fights...not follow the gossip beforehand...it's all irrelevant to me...I'm more of a philosphical observer...I love fighters who come to fight, who come to entertain, who come to win, who fight the best...because that was what the ****in' sport was allll about...

It seems ever since Oscar and Floyd have come along...it's all about money fights...its a shame...because once again...If you fight the best you get something money will never buy you...Respect

Its a waste of a career to see a fighter with so much potential...not live up to the highest possible summit he can reach...He's already done so much and CAN do so much more...but decides to cash out of the game that has the stakes high against him...

In all seriousness...even if Mayweather were to lose...he'd still be in the history books...so what's there to lose? So is it fear or laziness?

Again...I hope for a bigger and better year in 2009 with or without Floyd...but seeing as how he still carries much unleft business in the boxing world...It would shine much brighter with him in it :good

    Great response, as expected.

Where are the excuses by the way?, every single thing I mentioned I backed with actual facts that DID take place. Whether you want to acknowledge them just exposes your knowledge of what was going on at the time.

As I said, if you say he's scared please give me an example with proof, I know what your opinion of him is and it's as biased as it gets. Give me proof about how he was scared of Margarito and Cotto. An example similar to Margarito turning down a career high payday to avenge a loss and going for half the amount against an easier opponent.

When you give me an example similar to that I'll agree with you that he ran scared and shitless from Margarito and Cotto.

Best of luck and wishes. :good

Hm... Am I the only one that always thought his retirement was a bit of a ploy...? He has become quite a smart self-promoter...

Hmm, Barrera was under GBP at the time. Erik and JMM were the only ones under his promotional wings.

How "late" was that, Nallege? EM went on to win one against Pac at the time.

JMM was offered $1.5m for the EM fight. Nacho asked $2m (and got $35k instead in the malaria-infested jungles of Borneo:lol: ). Greed from an inflated ego for a DRAW got them that. Poetic justice, sweet.

:rofl Hindsight and anachronism is a nice thing, albeit laughable in your case. Fact: Pac was under Murad's M & M during those times (though he switched to Gary Shaw later after the first EM fight).

Check your facts Nallege. But then again, idiot and facts is as to water and oil. :good

    "lol" :smooch

Im applying a different boxing related criteria to 'scared' here Scar;Fighters have been afraid of other fighters, but were forced into it anyway. Some handled it better than others.
If Floyd HAD to fight Margarito,he would no doubt be focused, determined and bring his A-game.I know he wouldnt freeze like a little *****.
But he DOESN'T have to,so he wont. Its fear of a nightmare of a fight that he doesn't have to put himself through,so he will give it a big miss.

Many fighters throughout history would have preferred not to fight certain other fighters but were forced to through circumstances.
They didnt have the luxury of being able to swerve it.Floyd can.He has that comfort zone. He's a multimillionaire so doesnt need or want AM.
He can fight Hatton or Pac,who are far less daunting than AM.He would beat them both.

Anyway its a more subtle form of fear than displayed by a guy fighting Liston Or Tyson.
They couldnt avoid being in there for the payday and opportunity,so went through with it in a scared state.
Floyd doesnt need to get in there with AM at all.....and wont.

Prefer Floyd v. Pac. Past v. Present.

I see Margo v. Floyd as nothing more than an upgraded version of PBF-Baldomir with the same scenario and result.
