as much as i like floyd as a boxer i'm going to ride with you on this one until he proves otherwise.

 

I ain't a lover of the guy but he's a fine boxer. He'd probably beat all three but I think he'd prefer to sidestep them.

Damn shame, as it is these kind of fights that are required to kick-start boxing and get it back where it belongs.

Reading between the lines,his fans on here also accept and acknowledge that he wont fight AM,no matter what.
Its done subtly with the; 'Margo should go avenge his losses'....'it doesnt make financial sense'.....'Floyd's resume is far superior'....'AM doesnt deserve Mega fights' etc,etc.
Its all indidious reasoning to explain why the fight wont happen without putting their hero in a bad light.

the moment it became very clear floyd feared Margarito was back in 06 after floyd beat judah and needed a fight that summer. Said he'd fight "easy work" Margarito if Bob showed him the $. Well Arum three times offered him the $8 PLUS ppv upside first August, then Nov. floyd kept on making excuses, with no fight on his sched. Then he got lucky when Baldomir beat Gatii in July and handpicked him for Nov. But if he was really money oriented and not safety first, he would have taken Margarito for the August date. He could have earned the $8m in Aug and the $8 in Nov. vs. Baldomir. The dismissive way he spoke about Margarito in interviews then refused to fight him was clearly hypocritical. And he's been on the run from Margarito ever since.

there was never any insistence that Baldomir avenge any of his 9 losses yet Margarito should avenge his?

But floyd is only cheating himself. when he walks into an arena he will never get the type of ovations that people like Margarito, Tyson, Holyfield, Hatton, Trinidad, Cotto, get. The public knows who the real true champions are, and who the fraud is. As evidence, just look how much support floyd had vs Hatton in his own hometown.

but he's someone who has never fought in his life and is trying to pull down someone who has. that's what makes being online so simplistic for some people because its easy to be hypocritical. thats my point.

 

I see your point,but it is a boxing forum,and Floyd is a very famous,elite level boxer.Its inevitable that some fighters will get attacked on here.
It will be a logistical nightmare trying to determine who is and isnt worthy to post comments on fighters they dont like.
